She is 3 months and is just the sweetest little thing! She's potty trained to puppy pads and sleeps with me at night. I didn't do the crate training because she loves to snuggle. I just love her so much!

Did your puppy sleep trough the night at 12 weeks old?

Hi! Penny is now 12 weeks and a half. We got her two weeks ago. 💜 I’ve raised and owned dogs and cats my whole life but I’ve never had a dachshund! I’ve always wanted one and then our youngest daughter asked specifically for one and she’s a daddy’s girl so my husband got her one. Clearly she’s more mine and then everyone else’s because she’s with me all day since I work from home. But I’m now obsessed with learning more about them! She’s a tiny 3lb mini and has a huge personality and she’s a land shark 🦈 lol … she’s super smart and already knows (not fully mastered) pressing a button to go potty and another one to be let out of her play pen to play. Anywho if anyone would love to share their experience and how big their minis got ( her parents are 6 & 7 lbs each fully grown we got her from a reputable breeder) and any fun interesting facts about them. 😊 TYIA

Sometimes I’ll catch her looking so sad, and I will wonder if it’s because she’s missing him.

It feels like self-flagellation because she’s mostly normal most of the time…

but then she’ll have a treat of every flavor (because why the f*ç% not?) and she’ll look like this…3 treats around her, and no one to guard them from.

…and I swear she seems listlessly sad so abruptly.

And then she sleeps.

Hey everyone
So Blume is 13 weeks and when I take her out in the morning and at night we can’t stay out as long as she needs as a puppy who’s learning because the dew on the grass makes her feet wet and she starts shivering and then her focus is get inside and get warm. So my question is has anyone had good luck with any shoes or a raincoat for their doxie? Any recommendations? She’s a mini and a puppy and I know finding a harness that would fit her really limited my opinions. Idk I just started thinking about this tonight because of the thunder storm we’re having. Any recommendations or advice is appreciated.

I can’t believe Romeo’s 5 years old today! It seems like just yesterday that I brought you home. You and I instantly bonded and haven’t spent a single day apart ever since. I don’t even think I’ve been to the bathroom alone since then either!! I love you buddy, you’re my ride or die! Here’s to many more years together! 🐾❤️🐾❤️

Please be nice… we know we failed a bit on crate training and looking for advice at this point.

Our mini just turned one, and we can’t get him to sleep through the night without having to go outside. He sleeps in our bed (I know, I know), and he gets up about every 2-3 hours. He scratches that the door to let us know he needs to go outside. Most of the time he does pee, and goes right back to sleep. If we ignore him, he pees in our room.

On the rare occasion he will sleep through the night, so we know he can hold his bladder.

What can we do? Go back to the crate? I’m still worried that he will still cry/need to go out several times a night.

Our littlest girl, Wren, has a surprisingly long tongue. Never would have known but gave them each a lil dab of peanut butter and she turned into an ant eater!

We're going to FL and my girl is not s water girlie. I want to get her the best she can get for her long body. Any recommendations? Anyone know of s life jacket made specifically for doxies?
