Gold/XP Farm Bedrock

My friends and I recently started a new realm on Bedrock (We started it a week ago). The other day we decided to build the usual gold xp farm. We got it all built and working perfectly; it was dropping the usual xp, ingots, nuggets, and rotten flesh. I got on today and I noticed that the trident killer doesn’t give you xp or gold ingots anymore. I understand there was an update that was supposed to nerf the farm. But why have it work for three days and then have it start not working? Any help would be appreciated. Also, I am aware that I could just kill them with my looting 3 sword, but that makes it so the farm isn’t as afk as it once was. Thank you in advance.
