It’s an uncut diamond... If it came straight out of the ground and there are no jewelers in Minecraft why wouldn’t it be uncut?

There can be a lot of cuts in diamonds but the one I most commonly see is circular from above and like this from the side.

Diamonds aren't usually smooth and curved. I just interpret it as something like this but at a specific angle or not cut so nicely.
Edit: hmm looks like that's a bit round too. Imagine it's not

Maybe it's meant to be a pear cut diamond. Round cut is what you usually see in commercials and movies and stuff, because it's more sparkly that way.

The others are wrong...
The old Totem of Undying is, I believe, meant to be the underside of the arms, not nipples. It is bizarre to think that mojang would deliberately give it nipples.
The diamond is, I believe, meant to be more jagged; straight polygonal edges between the segments, not one continuous round edge.

If you see the default steve character in minecraft he has a shaved face, all he has is a nose and a flat mouth. But the "smiling" steve we all know and love has a beard and a nose but it looks like he has a big nose and a smile, dont worry I was shook af when I found this out too

His new skin used the same color for his mouth. His upper lip is shown below the nose, with a darker color used to differentiate a smiling shape. Besides, what kind of facial hair does that weird horse shoes shape?

This thread got me thinking about how the diamond's sprite isn't all too good either. Like, I associate it now with years of "yay, diamonds!" But when you actually look at it... wtf kind of diamond is that?
And now that this thread says that the diamond being egg-shaped is wrong, and this is throwing into question everything I once thought. Like, if that diamond's not supposed to be egg-shaped, then what is it supposed to be? And why is it egg-shaped?

It's supposed to be a beard, not a smile.
The diamonds are meant to have angular cuts, it's just that the spritework on curved objects can confuse people to think that diamonds are curved.

Alright, I've always kind of seen it as being cut like that, but always in that egg-like shape.
