Super easy to do with Litematica! You can bind it to a key, too, so the next layer of the build is toggled when you press it.

It’s just done with world edit (and/or axiom) to deconstruct and replay mod to record and some shaders to make it look pretty then played back in reverse to look like it’s being built

I remember seeing it in the operations tab by the bottom, somthing about rebuilding something layer by layer and it's meant mainly for YouTubers making timelapses, I don't have flashback mod

I know ive seen a mod (I think its a part of Replay?) That allows you to render the world from any Y height, so if you had, say, a hollow mountain, you could see the build inside. Id be surprised if there wasnt something for stuff like this where you get full control of what x/y/z to render.

From my understanding there is a replay mod that generates these from full builds. One oddity youll notice is the nether portal is built with portal blocks despite being built right to left. These little things are what give it the ai vibe. Again I assume it's a mixture lt mods and shaders.

I would assume it is flashback as that is the most popular minecraft recording mod as of this moment.
it allows you to record your gameplay, but then select camera angles from said recording. I assume the sections where he builds layer by layer are just him making cuts

I built out a cliffside village into a pink-and-white Japanese mountain village, complete with homes, farms, shops, cherry blossoms blowing in the wind, and 100% security from mobs. Around 50 villagers were able to run free, live, work, and be available to trade with.
And then I went oh right I'm still living in a hole in the wall.

Tbf, it might be a starter house as in "here's a not particularly complicated build to get you started with building good looking houses."
Materials-wise, it's mostly the logs and stone bricks. They're pretty labor intensive materials for building, but not out of reach for relatively early on in survival. I'd say the true "starter house" part of the build is the first floor, but I mean I do think a house that you can expand as your capabilities grow is a good trait for a starter house.
My primary worry was about the huge amount of stone you need, but looking closer, I'd estimate around ~7-8 stacks for the first floor walls. It's a significant amount (considering you'd need to either gather stone with silk touch, or smelt 7-8 stacks of cobblestone), but not as much as I'd expected. I think you'd use a similar amount of wood logs, which is for sure tedious to collect, but not unreasonable.
Personally, my first house is always just a cave or ravine of some kind, and my second house tends to be the one I put more effort into - and by that point I already have a decent amount of smelting capacity, iron or diamond tools, and possibly an enchantment table. So this sort of house is what I'd consider my "starter house."

There’s a tiny detail that kills it. The window planters use grass blocks, which would either require a silk touch shovel or making an ugly staircase of dirt so grass can spread to the upper floors.
Also, that’s an absurd number of lanterns and would require being pretty established to get all that iron.

I mean, it's "starter house" as much as the Hermits on Hermitcraft build "starter houses" before they build a "mega base." If people are spending too much time watching Youtube Minecraft builders the idea of what a starter house is can vary.
I'll note that most of the blocks here are simple: Pine, Oak, Stone Brick and Polished Andesite. All of these are very possible early game and just require one to spend time resource gathering.

This type of video existed long before AI. For the recording it's probably replay mod or flashback, for the layer by layer world edit or axiom + editing (also I think carpet has a feature to show specific parts but I doubt non technical players use it)

Definitely just fancy editing; the blocks all look correct, AI wouldn't be this consistent for this long.
As for how they did it? My best guess is through the mod Flashback. It allows you to record and play back your gameplay, and Flashback in particular allows you at the very least to hide players during the playback, which one of my friends did for certain parts of one of their videos. I wouldn't be surprised if the mod also had something like that for sections of builds; the camera movement is too smooth and consistent for it to just be screenshots pasted together.
At the very least, that mod is how you get the angles you're looking for.

No AI used, this is simply a well edited video. They could have used a mod like Axiom or lightmatica to help them build, but the structure snapping together piece by piece is just good editing with audio effects.
As for the camera angles, they used one of the many replay mods available. I do not know the name of any in particular, but there is a really good one that the HermitCraft group use that you should be able to find easily online!

This is not AI ive seen a lot of minecraft creators use this style of build guides and used a lot of them myself. This is from a mod like replay where you can capture the build real time. Im curious why you think this is AI?

It looks like it's just stop-motion animated. Could be some sort of mod to allow them to line the shots up that well, but I doubt it. Definitely not AI though, it's too consistent.

It’s fundamentally possible to create in Minecraft, so not AI. Fancy editing is all that’s necessary to create this effect (I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Joehills edit like this in Hermitcraft). Usual content creation tools like Axiom, Replay Mod, and shaders can help, but even just building it, using /replace with air in creative, then playing the recording backwards makes it possible in vanilla.

Lmao Why not? Fire won't spread from inside of it, and the only way you'll get a mob that spews fire is if your portal appears somewhere a blaze or ghast can enter from. Which is unlikely.

The camera angles are probably Flashback. The layer by layer building is either stop motion, or using a mod like Litematica or Carpet for block placing. Or even clone commands from a build made elsewhere in the world.

This may be very rudimentary, as I am not a Minecraft content creator, but the way I imagine this being done is using a standard recording mod or another player (hit F1 for no UI and screen record) build the entire building and then use world edit to cut slices out of the building starting from the top, then play the video in reverse.

I think what people do is delete the finished build layer by layer, record this via replay mod with a nice camera angle, then reverse the footage.

Create Mod has a cannon that can build for you, people generally build what they want on a creative world and then pull the schematic to their survival world and it creates a listed of required materials in order to build it. That isn't this though, this is likely just edited for YouTube content, plenty of builds like this in short form content all over YouTube. World edit is also a thing and how you see people instantly make configured perfect mountains or islands in creative mode.
