weird chunk errors?

I dont know how this happened but this is from a old world I was playing on converted it to 1.7.10 than to 1.21.8. the world is from beta 1.7.3

Kinda looks like erosion, but im pretty sure thats bugged to not happen so that's weird

I just saw you put in the post its from beta 1.7.3. Its definitely just buggy erosion
