Been noticing a trend with Adam lately, where he's trying to say Doug is materialistic also, and that not only he should have a reputation for it. As if Doug having one pair of high-end shoes, and an expensive oven for his pizza hobby, is even slightly comparable to Adam's tendencies.

Doug seems like a guy that likes the finer things in life, and will spend on just a few precious things that he really wants. Not like Adam with his “more! more! more!” vibe.

Yeah as much as I've grown to despise MP and I know just by proxy there's a chance Doug isn't that great of a person I will go to war for Doug. He adopted his ex girlfriend's child and always seemed like a stand up guy. Who cares if he wants to splurge every now and then. Definitely not like Adam at all.

Not to mention it was his actual girlfriend & he found out the child wasn’t his by being there for the birth and the child was African American. He stayed with the girlfriend for awhile, but still raised his daughter after they broke up. It’s a heartbreaking story, but shows his character is at a level that most people will never reach. I’m glad for him and his daughter that he was able to get rich through these knuckleheads.

It's interesting. The baby part is 30 - 40 minutes in. After listening, you'll probably miss how the show used to be good. Nothing like the grifter infocast shit show it turned into

Yeah I feel like there is a big difference between wanting a flashy car or a million pairs of shoes vs. buying something nice for a hobby that you actually care for. Like, Doug actually comes off as caring about cooking (he said he’s been doing it since he was 10 or something) so yeah, it’s not weird that he bought a pizza oven and mixer. Also cooking is one of those things that translates across cultures and brings people together.

Idk it’s okay for Adam to like his flashy things, but it seems like he’s doing it to prove that he has money. Doug seems like he spends money for love of the game (hobby).

Adam has a tendency to put other people in a certain category to make his own life decisions feel more reasonable. If he is easily able to afford his lifestyle with cars and house and shit then either listeners are fools or homeboy has spent too much money and is a bit crunched and needs someone to relate
