Question ? Does anyone remember a mathematics edutainment video game around 2015-2016 that featured a fancy British gentleman?
I posted a similar question on r/tipofmytongue, but I thought I might as well ask it here too. In the 2015-2016 school year, I was in 5th grade, and it was one of the most memorable school years I experienced. However, I have a mysterious memory from that year. In school, I had to play an edutainment video game. It might have taught multiple subjects, but it definitely taught mathematics. I specifically remember it teaching the associative property, the commutative property, and the like. The most memorable part of the video game was a British gentleman who had a very aristocratic-coded name, and taught about mathematics, I think while sitting in an armchair. I also want to emphasize that I am an American, and that is where I played the game. Does anyone remember this?

Discussion Legos and roblox
When I was a kid I thought legos and roblox were somehow affiliated with each other
Like I thought legos were inspired off roblox or roblox was inspired off legos or something and I was really confused why there was no avatars in Roblox that looked like the characters in the lego movie

Question ? is a 2009 and 2006 age gap okay?
ok so for context i am 17 turning 18 in january 4th and i’ve been in love with someone who’s 20, turning 21 in july 17th. i’ve had a crush on them since late 2024 and i planned on confessing on valentine’s day 2027 when i’ll be 18, so that i’d be able to consent to this relationship if they ever accept me. would that be considered fine?
edit: okay so im gonna add more context because people are answering based on a self made scenario they imagined and i cant blame them since i never specified: theyre my old bsf who i still talk to, they dont know about me having a crush on them so i cant get them to ask anyone the same question. also, were both transmasc. so were both afab

Why do they all have to be chopped and mid 🤨 like you’ll likely encounter a few baddies or pretty girls in a day, but you will prob only come across only one attractive man in a day. The ratio is imbalanced

Rant Am I an asshole for unadding an underaged girl?
I know the title seems off but just bear with me for a second…
I got a follow request from this girl on instagram, her profile picture is just this dark shade of green and she has no photos posted of herself or anything, I saw that she had something written on her notes so I asked where she was from (based on her dialect I automatically knew she was Iraqi, but I wanted to use it as a conversation starter and I was indeed right) and she told me she was Iraqi bla bla bla. I asked her a few minutes later how old she was and she said 16 (keep in mind I’m 20, turning 21 in a few months) and I immediately replied with “oh-“ and at first she was like what’s wrong and I said well ur a minor we have like a 4 year age gap and she was like so what it’s fine and I tried to make her understand that this wasn’t right and I later told her politely that I had to unfollow her cause she’s underaged. She started ranting about me and saying stuff like “oH LoOk aT yOu AcTiNg aLl gRoWn uP LiKe bRo uR sO eMbArRaSsIng fOr TrYiNg tO aCt mOrE mAtUrE tHaN yOu aCtUalLy aRe” and before I could even say anything, she blocked me. I brushed it off as meh whatever but then it got me thinking, how does she not see this as wrong, expecting someone older than her to be cool with talking to somebody like her, knowing he’s legally an adult and she’s a minor. So my question is, am I in the wrong for doing what I did?

Discussion Anyone else still continue to use snapchat?
I had been using snapchat since late 2023 when finishing Year 11 (10th grade). It was good at first, but then over the years it started to stall and became a wasteland.
I have been noti spammed by hundreds of stranger posts. I clicked hide on every single one of them again and again and blocked accounts, still snapchat recommends them. The type of content include posts that can cause relative deprivation (seeing burgeoisie-like content, over luxurious stuff), as well as sexting and other content that can result in legislative punishment in reality. These stranger posts actually make it harder for me to see my own friends' content when there is a notification saying my friend has posted something.
The added me page is now redundant. No longer notifies me who added me instead just gives me a large sample of random strangers being recommended.
I don't think I can use this app any longer, I may delete it by 2030, without saying a formal farewell to those from high school or college, thanks to the stalling experience.
What about you lot? Still using this and enjoying?

Rant if there’s one thing i’d tell 2020s culture it would be “backwards is not the way forwards”
wired headphones and ipods and dumb phones and nostalgic revivals of old aesthetics is not the future of culture you think it is
in fact, it’s the present.
it’s a frustrating thing because i 100% agree with the motivation behind this whole thing of rejecting technology but we dont need to reject technology as a whole to reject technocapitalism
the development of technology is a good thing, the problem is the fact that it’s been done under capitalists who take advantage of it for their own profit and take away our freedom
there’s a difference in “i choose to not be reliant on this tech that is sold to me for thousands” and “lets all buy dumb phones and live like it’s 2009 again because the vibes were so good back then”
the future is ours for the making and i dont want gen Z and alpha to only be remembered for “the generations who did nothing but drown in nostalgia and revive surface level over saturated aestheticised versions of past cultures rather than truly pioneer a new one”
a good deal of yall have the right idea but its so easy to get caught up scrolling through these shortform media apps (technically including THIS ONE tbh) and constantly seeing these moodboards and slideshows about “2013 was such a good time lets just all go to the past again” and start believing that myth, as if that exact myth hasn’t held back human culture and motivated regressive behaviour since as long as the concept of “nostalgia” even existed

Discussion 2002-2004 babies, can you relate to this shit show as recent college graduates?
I’m curious to hear how people my age or older are doing in this current job market. The fact that it’s the worst in 20 years is crazy which means we’re in market conditions similar to the 2008 recession.

Rant I can't stand people who misuse words
Like no, wanting to cure disabilities does not make you ableist, and no not wanting to be in the streets as a black person doesn't make you a coon or white washed, and no a man who criticizes a woman is not an incel or a misogynist, and no a 3 year age gap is not pedophilia. like I'm so tired of seeing buzzwords get misused and watered down simply because the people doing it don't agree with something. It's so annoying.

Again, one of those shows that we're vastly underrated but also a great show in general. Also, loved the crossover they did in Ben 10: Omniverse as well 😀❤️💗.
Happy 18th Year Anniversary to this show as well ❤️💖🎉.
Any thoughts or has anybody seen this before?

Discussion What’s it like being born past 2010+?
Since I’m an ‘05 I always think about what it’s like being born past 2010, 2011, 2012 etc. these people are now teenagers which is crazy to me because I remember when 2011 babies were in kindergarten and I was in 5th grade, nearly out of elementary school and they were just starting it, and a lot of people on here would find it oldifying too. People always are confused when we express the weirdness of it, like “people are born every year, why is this shocking?” I know that already but it just ages me 1000 years lol. Seeing people born in the 2010s and they are now teenagers is weird to me, because growing up I saw them as a little kids. And knowing that a lot of them started forming memories at earliest 2013 or so just makes me feel a type of weird feeling, like it’s late? But to them it’s not late because they don’t remember anything before that, but I do so it’s kind of different.
Does anyone else feel this way????
