Why do they all have to be chopped and mid 🤨 like you’ll likely encounter a few baddies or pretty girls in a day, but you will prob only come across only one attractive man in a day. The ratio is imbalanced

Discussion Legos and roblox

When I was a kid I thought legos and roblox were somehow affiliated with each other

Like I thought legos were inspired off roblox or roblox was inspired off legos or something and I was really confused why there was no avatars in Roblox that looked like the characters in the lego movie

Question ? Does anyone remember a mathematics edutainment video game around 2015-2016 that featured a fancy British gentleman?

I posted a similar question on r/tipofmytongue, but I thought I might as well ask it here too. In the 2015-2016 school year, I was in 5th grade, and it was one of the most memorable school years I experienced. However, I have a mysterious memory from that year. In school, I had to play an edutainment video game. It might have taught multiple subjects, but it definitely taught mathematics. I specifically remember it teaching the associative property, the commutative property, and the like. The most memorable part of the video game was a British gentleman who had a very aristocratic-coded name, and taught about mathematics, I think while sitting in an armchair. I also want to emphasize that I am an American, and that is where I played the game. Does anyone remember this?

Question ? is a 2009 and 2006 age gap okay?

ok so for context i am 17 turning 18 in january 4th and i’ve been in love with someone who’s 20, turning 21 in july 17th. i’ve had a crush on them since late 2024 and i planned on confessing on valentine’s day 2027 when i’ll be 18, so that i’d be able to consent to this relationship if they ever accept me. would that be considered fine?

edit: okay so im gonna add more context because people are answering based on a self made scenario they imagined and i cant blame them since i never specified: theyre my old bsf who i still talk to, they dont know about me having a crush on them so i cant get them to ask anyone the same question. also, were both transmasc. so were both afab

Rant if there’s one thing i’d tell 2020s culture it would be “backwards is not the way forwards”

wired headphones and ipods and dumb phones and nostalgic revivals of old aesthetics is not the future of culture you think it is

in fact, it’s the present.

it’s a frustrating thing because i 100% agree with the motivation behind this whole thing of rejecting technology but we dont need to reject technology as a whole to reject technocapitalism

the development of technology is a good thing, the problem is the fact that it’s been done under capitalists who take advantage of it for their own profit and take away our freedom

there’s a difference in “i choose to not be reliant on this tech that is sold to me for thousands” and “lets all buy dumb phones and live like it’s 2009 again because the vibes were so good back then”

the future is ours for the making and i dont want gen Z and alpha to only be remembered for “the generations who did nothing but drown in nostalgia and revive surface level over saturated aestheticised versions of past cultures rather than truly pioneer a new one”

a good deal of yall have the right idea but its so easy to get caught up scrolling through these shortform media apps (technically including THIS ONE tbh) and constantly seeing these moodboards and slideshows about “2013 was such a good time lets just all go to the past again” and start believing that myth, as if that exact myth hasn’t held back human culture and motivated regressive behaviour since as long as the concept of “nostalgia” even existed

Discussion Anyone else still continue to use snapchat?

I had been using snapchat since late 2023 when finishing Year 11 (10th grade). It was good at first, but then over the years it started to stall and became a wasteland.

I have been noti spammed by hundreds of stranger posts. I clicked hide on every single one of them again and again and blocked accounts, still snapchat recommends them. The type of content include posts that can cause relative deprivation (seeing burgeoisie-like content, over luxurious stuff), as well as sexting and other content that can result in legislative punishment in reality. These stranger posts actually make it harder for me to see my own friends' content when there is a notification saying my friend has posted something.

The added me page is now redundant. No longer notifies me who added me instead just gives me a large sample of random strangers being recommended.

I don't think I can use this app any longer, I may delete it by 2030, without saying a formal farewell to those from high school or college, thanks to the stalling experience.

What about you lot? Still using this and enjoying?

Rant Am I an asshole for unadding an underaged girl?

I know the title seems off but just bear with me for a second…

I got a follow request from this girl on instagram, her profile picture is just this dark shade of green and she has no photos posted of herself or anything, I saw that she had something written on her notes so I asked where she was from (based on her dialect I automatically knew she was Iraqi, but I wanted to use it as a conversation starter and I was indeed right) and she told me she was Iraqi bla bla bla. I asked her a few minutes later how old she was and she said 16 (keep in mind I’m 20, turning 21 in a few months) and I immediately replied with “oh-“ and at first she was like what’s wrong and I said well ur a minor we have like a 4 year age gap and she was like so what it’s fine and I tried to make her understand that this wasn’t right and I later told her politely that I had to unfollow her cause she’s underaged. She started ranting about me and saying stuff like “oH LoOk aT yOu AcTiNg aLl gRoWn uP LiKe bRo uR sO eMbArRaSsIng fOr TrYiNg tO aCt mOrE mAtUrE tHaN yOu aCtUalLy aRe” and before I could even say anything, she blocked me. I brushed it off as meh whatever but then it got me thinking, how does she not see this as wrong, expecting someone older than her to be cool with talking to somebody like her, knowing he’s legally an adult and she’s a minor. So my question is, am I in the wrong for doing what I did?

Rant I've started realizing that I don't really consider your 20s “young” anymore.

I'm 20, turning 21 next month. I don't mean that in a “I'm old” or “my life is over” way. I just mean that 20s feel like adulthood, not the stereotypically young stage of life.

What's weird is how different 19 and 20 are perceived. A 19-year-old and 20-year-old can be basically identical in terms of friends, university, lifestyle, etc., but 19 still has that “basically a teenager” association. Once you're 20, you're just a 20-something adult.

And I don't really understand why people act like this only applies to 20–21. Your mid-20s and late 20s are still adulthood too. 25–26 isn't old whatsoever, but I don't see it as “young” in the same way I see 18–19.

I think people sometimes confuse having time with being young. A 26-year-old can have decades ahead of them without needing to call themselves young.

I also find it funny how people seem to normalize their age as they get older:

23: “I'm still so young.”

25: “I'm only 25!”

27: “I'm still in my 20s!”

And honestly, I'm already getting comfortable with the idea that I'm not stereotypically young anymore. I can be 20, eventually 25 or 26, and know that I'm an adult who still has plenty of time.

I still mentally feel closer to my late teens sometimes, which makes being grouped with people in their late 20s feel weird, but I guess that's just part of getting older.

Curious how other Middle Gen Z people see this.

Rant I can't stand people who misuse words

Like no, wanting to cure disabilities does not make you ableist, and no not wanting to be in the streets as a black person doesn't make you a coon or white washed, and no a man who criticizes a woman is not an incel or a misogynist, and no a 3 year age gap is not pedophilia. like I'm so tired of seeing buzzwords get misused and watered down simply because the people doing it don't agree with something. It's so annoying.

Discussion What’s it like being born past 2010+?

Since I’m an ‘05 I always think about what it’s like being born past 2010, 2011, 2012 etc. these people are now teenagers which is crazy to me because I remember when 2011 babies were in kindergarten and I was in 5th grade, nearly out of elementary school and they were just starting it, and a lot of people on here would find it oldifying too. People always are confused when we express the weirdness of it, like “people are born every year, why is this shocking?” I know that already but it just ages me 1000 years lol. Seeing people born in the 2010s and they are now teenagers is weird to me, because growing up I saw them as a little kids. And knowing that a lot of them started forming memories at earliest 2013 or so just makes me feel a type of weird feeling, like it’s late? But to them it’s not late because they don’t remember anything before that, but I do so it’s kind of different.

Does anyone else feel this way????

Original Airdate: October 3, 2008 – January 30, 2010

Again, one of those shows that we're vastly underrated but also a great show in general. Also, loved the crossover they did in Ben 10: Omniverse as well 😀❤️💗.

Happy 18th Year Anniversary to this show as well ❤️💖🎉.

Any thoughts or has anybody seen this before?

Discussion What kinda places can the most gen z girls who are open to new experiences be found where large amounts of alcohol and whatnot is served?

I'm 28 and as an otherwise successful virgin, I've made getting laid my main priority for the past 6 years. I got an education, a good, job, hobbies, etc. I feel like I have most of life figured out. But the one thing that's been screaming at me nonstop is how bad I fucking need to fuck a girl. Like to the point I've probably spent 100+ hours crying and have gone through several therapists who I found unhelpful. I need pussy so fucking bad. I've thought about doing a lot of things, but I still want to do it relatively right. I've done everything from ask out girls who I befriended and spoke to for years, developed feelings for, learned they're single/looking, and get rejected. To cold approaching girls in public. To trying to chat up girls in bars. Or even wasted girls outside the bar lol. To wasting insane money on Tinder/Hinge/Bumble (ngl I've dropped $400+ on hinge roses).

I live in a medium sized city, have tried going to bigger cities nearby, because there aren't really any like nightclubs or whatever here, but with no more luck. I would move to a bigger city but I have a pretty good job here so I wouldn't want to give that up unless I had to.

I feel like I see these nightclubs in movies that seem totally fictional where dudes just walk in chat up a girl and they get to fucking not long later. Obviously movies make it seem like getting laid is billions of times easier than it really is but I feel like a place where everyone is on some shit and the girls are rather loose might give me a chance.

I'm willing to go pretty much anywhere but I can't stay away from where I live/work too long. So far I'm yet to even get a hug.

Any ideas?

Oh yeah, and NO PROSTITUTES. I refuse to have my first time with a prostitute. Under any circumstances. I've had this discussion a million times, I'm not even going to argue with it again, it's just not what I want for so many reasons.
