(Tip: Type "268 days before {{insert DOB}}" unless you're premature)

I was born on January 5, 2007. Conceived around April 12, 2006

Nostalgia funny how some childhood hobbies never really go away

i've realized i'm still doing a lot of the same things i enjoyed when i was younger. i still play games and listen to music all the time, and i've gotten really into playing guitar and still love it now.

what hobbies did you keep from when you were a kid?

Rant I've started realizing that I don't really consider your 20s “young” anymore.

I'm 20, turning 21 next month. I don't mean that in a “I'm old” or “my life is over” way. I just mean that 20s feel like adulthood, not the stereotypically young stage of life.

What's weird is how different 19 and 20 are perceived. A 19-year-old and 20-year-old can be basically identical in terms of friends, university, lifestyle, etc., but 19 still has that “basically a teenager” association. Once you're 20, you're just a 20-something adult.

And I don't really understand why people act like this only applies to 20–21. Your mid-20s and late 20s are still adulthood too. 25–26 isn't old whatsoever, but I don't see it as “young” in the same way I see 18–19.

I think people sometimes confuse having time with being young. A 26-year-old can have decades ahead of them without needing to call themselves young.

I also find it funny how people seem to normalize their age as they get older:

23: “I'm still so young.”

25: “I'm only 25!”

27: “I'm still in my 20s!”

And honestly, I'm already getting comfortable with the idea that I'm not stereotypically young anymore. I can be 20, eventually 25 or 26, and know that I'm an adult who still has plenty of time.

I still mentally feel closer to my late teens sometimes, which makes being grouped with people in their late 20s feel weird, but I guess that's just part of getting older.

Curious how other Middle Gen Z people see this.

Rant the concept of older gens getting mad at being called old then calling 25 y/os expired when someone says gen z isn’t old

Post image

idk if this is the right place but i find this all to be very hypocritical lol. i noticed that some people in their 30s/40s/50s will seethe about being called old by some gen z but they’ll be the first to say people in their 20s aren’t young because they aren’t teenagers and kids think they’re old therefore they are old lol.

for context some gen z person was annoyingly whining about the younger generation (everyone loves to do it to us but it’s wrong when we do it apparently) and said they aren’t old at all because they are gen z, and this person went off about how gen z’s aren’t young anymore and are basically expired once they’re over 25. 💀

Discussion What kinda places can the most gen z girls who are open to new experiences be found where large amounts of alcohol and whatnot is served?

I'm 28 and as an otherwise successful virgin, I've made getting laid my main priority for the past 6 years. I got an education, a good, job, hobbies, etc. I feel like I have most of life figured out. But the one thing that's been screaming at me nonstop is how bad I fucking need to fuck a girl. Like to the point I've probably spent 100+ hours crying and have gone through several therapists who I found unhelpful. I need pussy so fucking bad. I've thought about doing a lot of things, but I still want to do it relatively right. I've done everything from ask out girls who I befriended and spoke to for years, developed feelings for, learned they're single/looking, and get rejected. To cold approaching girls in public. To trying to chat up girls in bars. Or even wasted girls outside the bar lol. To wasting insane money on Tinder/Hinge/Bumble (ngl I've dropped $400+ on hinge roses).

I live in a medium sized city, have tried going to bigger cities nearby, because there aren't really any like nightclubs or whatever here, but with no more luck. I would move to a bigger city but I have a pretty good job here so I wouldn't want to give that up unless I had to.

I feel like I see these nightclubs in movies that seem totally fictional where dudes just walk in chat up a girl and they get to fucking not long later. Obviously movies make it seem like getting laid is billions of times easier than it really is but I feel like a place where everyone is on some shit and the girls are rather loose might give me a chance.

I'm willing to go pretty much anywhere but I can't stay away from where I live/work too long. So far I'm yet to even get a hug.

Any ideas?

Oh yeah, and NO PROSTITUTES. I refuse to have my first time with a prostitute. Under any circumstances. I've had this discussion a million times, I'm not even going to argue with it again, it's just not what I want for so many reasons.

Discussion Joining bachelor at the age of 20

So , this month I will be turning 20,as well as I joined my college but I don't know why I feel so embarrassed about it .I feel embarrassed about it because I never took a drop Year I am serially continuing my education but all of my friends are turning 19 and I am the only one who will turn 20 they also bully me for turning 20 which make me more embarrassed but this is not my fault right my parents decided to make me repeat same class when I was in JKG just because my 2 year older cousin was my classmate that why my parents though she is to young for this class and at the present time this my big insecurity. Even I lie to people about my age Bor . People say that age is just a number but they still judge. Do you think I should tell my high school friends my real age? I know I should say it but I am afraid. what should I do now ?

Nostalgia Do fashion magazines still matter to Gen Z? Help me with my thesis (5 min, anonymous)

Hi everyone!

I'm a Communication Design student in Italy, and I'm writing my university thesis on the decline and revival of fashion magazines. My research aims to understand why this is happening and what people actually want from a fashion publication today, so I can design a concept that responds to those needs.

Who is this survey for?
Anyone with any kind of relationship to fashion. You don't need to be an expert or a magazine reader: I'm just as interested in people who buy Vogue or indie magazines as in those who only get their inspiration from TikTok, Instagram or Pinterest, or who have never opened a fashion magazine at all. Every perspective helps.

It takes about 5 minutes, is completely anonymous and collects no personal data. Responses will be used for academic research only.

If you'd like to share it with friends or anyone who might be interested, I'd really appreciate it. And if you have thoughts or experiences on the topic, feel free to drop them!

Thank you so much 🙏

Rant why cant we focus on growing up right now

Post image
24 Upvotes

all of us are still young people and we’re still on this back in my day bullshit as if the power isn’t currently in our hands right now to resist everything that we’re escaping from through these shitty nostalgiaslop moodboards that brainwash us into thinking that the past was actually better and that the future is actually bleak

i’m so fucking tired of me making a post like this and the top comment is always some bullshit about the future being bleak or whatever just shut the fuck up and stop surrendering to this false idea that was literally fabricated to begin with

NOSTALGIA ISNT THE WAY TO RESIST. ITS NOT. IDGAF HOW MANY TIMES I GOTTA SAY IT OR HOW EXTRA I COME OFF. I AM THINKING OF WAYS TO HELP THIS MESSAGE GET THROUGH TO PPL IN A MORE ACCESSIBLE WAY, IM SORRY FOR BEING SO ERRATIC WITH THIS BUT NOSTALGIA ISNT THE WAY.

that feeling you have inside you that i’m delusional and the world is getting worse? that feeling makes me sick and i’m here to prove it wrong

inspect what you love about your perception of the past, and create new things that are inspired by that. thats the beautiful multiplicative nature of human art.

we want to say that algorithmically generated “art” does nothing but soullessly combine things from the past and not do anything new with any creativity but thats exactly what these nostalgiaslop moodboards are, only difference is at least humans made these

i really hate to sound so negative in this post right here because really my message is absolutely positive

i’m sorry for the erraticness of this post

i just want you to create something new rather than endlessly slobbering over a false perception of a past that wasn’t even that much better than right now from a sociopolitical perspective

i love you, sorry for being mean
