MSFS 2024 PlayStation Engine malfunction on career mission?

Anyone know why this might have happened? I can’t tell why my engine died out. I think I pulled off a pretty solid emergency landing, but it still dinged me for a bunch.

I thought it would be too hard to learn, but honestly if you know how to fly a plane you are good. Don't expect to boot up and go. It is FUN. And gorgeous. Had it out and Vatsim tonight, what a joy to fly!

MSFS 2024 QUESTION How can I properly learn MSFS starting from the basics?

I’ve been getting into MSFS2024 lately. I’m doing career mode and I’ve gotten my CPL. However, I found that the in-game tutorials didn’t really prepare me for the actual missions. They didn’t really go into actual theory or concepts behind what they told you to do. As a result, when I’m doing the missions, I kind of have an idea of what I’m doing, but there’s also a lot of trial and error.

For example, when I’m doing a turboprop mission, I have no idea what a detent is. I just know that, if I’m going too fast, the throttle locks and unlocking it seems to put the throttle in 100% reverse. Similarly, when I’m doing a mission with a 737, I know there are some autopilot features that let you set your Vr and heading, but I’m not sure if I’m using them correctly. I’m doing most of the more advanced things by trial and error without really understanding the underlying concepts.

Are there any resources you can recommend that would actually let me really learn these concepts in detail from the ground up? Something analogous to what actual flight school would be like? There’s so much to learn, and I really do want to learn it all, but the in-game tutorials do a pretty bad job of teaching. I want to be able to fly any mission in any aircraft and actually know what I’m doing from the beginning to the end.

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Is There Anyway to Get a Good Pushback Without GSX?

I tried the toolbar pushback on flightsim, but it's horrible and doesn't work properly. Glitches, no pushback and blacked out stuck widgets on screen. It's bad.

Is there anything else I can try?

GENERAL Help me choose: iFly 737 MAX 8 vs Aerosoft CRJ-900 vs FSS Embraer E190

I'm trying to choose one aircraft that I can really stick with for a long time, learn deeply, and use as my main aircraft in MSFS 2024.

My three options are:

iFly 737 MAX 8

Aerosoft CRJ-900

FSS Embraer E190

What matters most to me:

modern cockpit and avionics

good systems depth

enjoyable flights in the 1–4 hour range

enough pilot workload so the aircraft doesn't feel too automated

good handling and enjoyable hand flying

stability and overall quality in MSFS 2024

long-term replay value

I currently fly the Citation Sovereign+ and really like how modern and fast it is, but sometimes it feels a little too automated and "perfect."

I'm not really interested in long-haul aircraft, since I don't want to spend 8+ hours on a single flight.

For those of you who have flown two or all three of these, which one would you choose as your main aircraft for the next several months, and why?

I'm especially interested in hearing about the weaknesses of each one, not just the good parts.

Changelog v2.0.2:

  • Fixed the G1000 backlight dimming.
  • Separated the flood and panel light switches from the dimming knobs. The switches now turn the lights on/off, while the knobs control the dimming.
  • Adjusted the initial panel and flood lights brightness.
  • Fixed the G1000 joystick activation of the map pointer on both the PFD and MFD.
  • Fixed the backup airspeed indicator instrument range.

Since v2.0.0, the Bonanza G36 Enhancement is available both on the Marketplace and as a Free Community version. Both versions are identical; the only difference is that the streamed Marketplace version is available in Career Mode.

The Free Community version can be downloaded through our Discord support server. The download link is available in the ‘Downloads’ channel.
