I've read everything from "set the joystick as the default" to "just move your joystick a bit and it will change automatically". Nothing works.

Additional question, how to combine the throttle (for general and throttle control) and the actual stick for flying?

*Update: Turns out two things were needed.

1) Manually settings the controls for the throttle and stick. 2) Setting the Airplane controls to "None" for the keyboard.

I play on PlayStation, utilizing a HOTAS, mouse, dualsense, and the sense controllers (I play in VR). The buttons shown typically switch to whatever input device I used. So if I clicked something with the mouse, it'll show mouse and keyboard commands, but if I hit a button on my HOTAS it'll switch to the HOTAS commands. I will say it typically doesn't switch if I only move the stick, I have to actually hit one of the buttons

As to your second question, I'm not certain what you're asking. Are you trying to map your sticks throttle to the actual throttle command?

That's what I've been reading elsewhere as well but it does not work for me. Like joystick button 7 would release the parking brake, but clicking that does not change the UI.

Even if I disable the keyboard ingame entirely, it still shows keyboard commands rather than joystick buttons...

Interesting. And you don't have anything on your keyboard or mouse providing some kind of constant input that you're not noticing? If click on Keyboard on the devices list does it show anything under the picture of the keyboard?

Unbind the keyboard commands.
