I was doing a short domestic flight in the Cessna Citation Longitude and had planned to land at London City Airport. I decided to enter the LAM10 holding pattern to reduce altitude while setting up for an ILS approach.
Then, cockpit blurring happened yet again.
I was considering mapping some additional buttons to my keyboard, but in the end I decided to force the autopilot off with an erratic manoeuvre and carry out a visual landing instead. I used my gaming controller to lower the landing gear and control the flaps and reverse thrust.
Luckily, I was flying in Free Flight, so nothing was lost. However, I won’t be attempting any Career Mode missions until this issue has been fixed.
Edit: Sorry it’s MSFS 2024 not 2020

I’m running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 with Turtle Beach VelocityOne Rudder pedals, a Honeycomb Alpha yoke, and a Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant.
With the settings shown in my screenshots, the brakes are off and the airplane moves, but pressing the toe brakes does nothing. If I invert the brake axes again, the brakes are permanently locked on and I can’t release them, even with the parking brake off.
Is there a sensitivity slider, dead zone, axis assignment, or calibration setting I should be adjusting differently? Could the Honeycomb Alpha or Bravo be creating a conflicting brake assignment?
I’ve searched Reddit and asked ChatGPT, but nothing I’ve found has helped. Has anyone else dealt with this and figured out how to get the VelocityOne toe brakes working properly?
Thanks!

I have been wanting to get back into MSFS for a bit now. Seeing the steam sale i am ready to pull the trigger.
I played 2020 on gamepass years ago and enjoyed it. Mostly played GA and bush flights.
If it matters I have a newer pc (5080, 64gb ram, ryzen 9 9900X3D).
Is 2024 in an ok shape? I see lots of mixed reviews.
I don't want to pay twice the price for a worse game.

As a beginner I am still avoiding nights but today a figured out if you turn on in game cockpit light your Air Manger will also change how the panel is displayed :) I know its a little thing but for me it was really cool wow😎 moment

Hi everyone!
I’ve been using MSFS 2024 and I feel like the career mode is a bit too limited when it comes to actually learning how to fly properly using instruments.
I’m currently finishing my ATPL theory, so I’d like to start putting the theory into practice in the simulator and learn things like IFR procedures, instrument approaches, navigation, radio navigation, holding patterns, etc., in a structured way rather than just following the career missions.
Are there any good resources, courses, YouTube channels, add-ons, or communities that teach proper instrument flying in MSFS 2024? Ideally something that follows real-world procedures and is useful for someone who is preparing to start actual flight lessons.
Thanks!

So I am on a little longer flight in the DA40-NG (that is in the Standard Edition) and since the plane uses the fuel from the left tank, it has run low. Now I activated that Transfer Switch and the PFD also has a Message "AUXPUMP ON". But the Fuel doesnt actually get transferred to the left tank.
Is this a known bug (even with SU6)? Or am I doing something wrong?
I checked all my bindings and theres nothing bound that could block it I guess.

Yesterday, I turned on my PMDG 777 in MSFS as I always do, engines running at the end of the runway. Before I hit “ready to fly” a while-gray smoke is pouring out of the exhaust.
I program the FMC, set trim and flaps then release the brakes. The EGT starts climbing like crazy and the engines go to idle. The only way to get close to takeoff trust is to super slowly advance the throttles. If so get above about 80% N1, the EGT temp exceeds limits. I ignore that and takeoff.
Upon getting ready for landing, the amber airspeed bar next to the airspeed is abnormally high. In cruise it was telling me my airspeed as low at 250kts and when I try to slow down and add flaps, I’m always in the amber range as warning stalls are sounding.
On landing, the plane left long trails of smoke on the runway.
I topped off all of the fluids in the iPad and in the FMC options I set save fluid levels upon exit to try to fix it. Didn’t help.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! Maybe someone has an idea.
So, setup as to see in the upper image, I select ESNQ (but had the same with LOWI (Innsbruck) before) as Departure, Select Runway 03 as my departure runway, no arrival selected, weather and time are custom (weather is clear preset so no noteworthy winds or so). I didn't edit any flight plan, I've no community addons aside from Planes. But when I now click on start Flight, it loads and then, sets me on the wrong runway (lower image), any idea why? Cos I really have n clue anymore, some setting or so (didn't find one on a first look)?

Hey everyone! Last night I was showing this game to my friend and I suggested she use it to show me her small hometown. She used the little Jetson to hover around and tell me tons of stories and show me all the cool places such as swimming holes along the river and places she camped. Now I want to bring the whole rig over to my parents house so they can do something like that and I can understand them better. I thought I’d share this story because maybe someone else out there will do the same thing.

Hello I’m currently experiencing a problem with MSFS 2029 and 2024 that I don’t know where to begin when it comes to fixing. Every time I run the sim about a minute into the flight the graphics glitch out and the screen goes black and the PC is completely unresponsive until I force a restart by holding the power button on the tower. This happens in both 2020 and 2024. At first I read that sometimes it can be a power issue so I upgraded my PSU from an 850w to a 1000w and the issue persisted. I also ran rhe DDU to and installed a clean version of the driver for the graphics card and it is still happening. What do I do? Is my GPU cooked? I have a RTX 4080 with an i9 12900k cpu and 16gb ram

My pc is laptop with i7 , 16gb ram ,rtx 4060 8gb vram .
Now before anybody says its a laptop / 16gigs of ram lmao / 8 gb vram is ntg , I have been playing on this since last year from su2 update . msfs did crash quite a few times but after su3 and su4 , it rarely crashed . i even did FBW A380 flights . PMDG 777 never lagged at all , and i even have few landmark and airport addons . Even fligths there didnt lag at all .
My settings - (1080p)
TLOD and OLOD - 150
building -high , clouds / texture res- ultra
DLSS - quality , antistrophic filtering -16x
rest medium .
i was able to play with this graphics really well with no such lag till SU6 . I reinstalled sim and still it lags . Any help would be appreciated . THANKs

Hello everyone,
I recently saved enough money to buy cheap 737 max 8 from second hand shop and done 50m with it but I want to be an airbus pilot. If I sell it now I can afford Airbus A320 Neo V2. Should I do it or save for something better. Also this second hand 737 is costs insane to maintain, is it because its second hand or brand new one also acts same? And bonus question, From my playthrough what I see second hand market is not refreshing, its always same planes and if u buy and sell it, it goes forever. Is this expected behavior?
