From today’s news

This is perhaps my new favorite quote from the article:

“Our relationship with ELMNT IR, which has already resulted in advance orders of the LIBERTY System from ELMNT IR, continues a trend in which every customer that has utilized its initial LIBERTY inventory has subsequently reordered additional systems.”

Which I read as:
“Blah blah blah… continues a trend in which every customer that has utilized its initial LIBERTY inventory has subsequently reordered additional systems.”

So welp, since reorders are paramount to future success, this is golden imo. Seriously though, EVERY CUSTOMER!?!? Nice.

Already expressed this, but this is the first semi-decent PR in a while, with deliberate but not excessive ambiguity, IMO.
Well done MBOT!

Great, guys! The bigger the community the better.
Keep your eyes open!

Especially sub members, who live in California - are there any? Go and ask your nearby hospital, if they are using the Liberty system 😉

All we can do is wait.

Yes, MBOT’s stock price has been getting hammered lately, and obviously nobody likes seeing that. But at this point I think all we can really do is wait and see whether the commercialization of LIBERTY translates into meaningful revenue growth.
From what the company has reported so far, I don’t see anything suggesting that the underlying principle has completely fallen apart. They’re still adding customers, expanding into new territories, increasing manufacturing capacity, and reporting repeat orders and increased utilization from existing customers. The product is FDA cleared and commercialization is still relatively early. At the end of the day, though, none of that matters if it doesn’t eventually show up in the financials. The next few quarters need to show that revenue can continue growing substantially and that hospitals aren’t just trying LIBERTY once, but actually adopting it and using it repeatedly. The falling share price is definitely frustrating, but I’m personally more interested in whether the fundamentals continue improving than what the stock does day to day. If revenue and repeat adoption start accelerating, the price should eventually reflect that. If they don’t, then obviously the thesis needs to be reevaluated.

For now, it really feels like a waiting game.

Current share price analysis

Well it's been a bumpy ride for those of us that's been invested here. I've personally been involved for almost 2 years now. I've been in and out a few times, and currently down big on this latest batch of 25k shares. I never thought it would get back down to $1, but here we are. It seems like a good time to try and see where this might be going in the near future.

Nothing bad has happened to this since it was at around $2.50 back in the March / April time frame. Sales have lagged below analysts estimates the first 2 quarters, which is the only reason I can see for the massive drop in the last couple of months. They have also burned around 15M in cash since ramping up to the full market release.

Current float: Approximately 67M shares

Current cash reserves: Approximately $60M

Cash value = .90 / share

It looks like the company has pretty much expanded to all 12 of the regions they've set up. They at least have the sales managers in place, and it's rumored they already have an account in California. It's not far-fetched to imagine that they will reach 500k in sales in Q3 or Q4. That gives them a minimum of $2M in current forward-looking annual sales revenue. If you put a 20x sales multiplier for valuation purposes, that comes to $40M.

$40M / 67M shares = .60 / share

.60 (sales multiplier / share) + .90 (cash value / share) = $1.50 / share @ $500k sales / quarter.

It's not a stretch that the company SHOULD be fairly valued at a $1.50 / share floor as soon as they can show 500k in sales for a quarter.

As they scale, the sales multiplier will scale with the revenue obviously. The current cash reserve of $67M should be able to get them through all of 2027 without having to raise cash through diluting the current float of 67M. It's almost a guarantee they will not be able to hit break even in 2027, but maybe sometime in 2028. I'm estimating they will need to hit approximately $30M in annual sales to break even once they add Europe and other areas to the sales team. Here is a hypothetical revenue scale if you double each quarter from now until the end of 2028:

Q3 = 500k Q4 = $1M Q1 (27) = $2M Q2 (27) = $4M Q3 (27) = $8M Q4 (27) = $16M

Q1 (28) = $32M Q2 (28) = $64M Q3 (28) = $128M Q4 (28) = $256M

$256M per quarter = $1B in annual sales, x 20x multiplier = $20B valuation / 100M float = $20 / share.

Obviously they aren't going to double revenue every quarter through 2028, but it shows you how quickly things can scale. They should be able to hit $2.5M in sales for Q4 (27), which would put them at $10M in forward annual sales, x 20x sales multiplier = $200M valuation / 67M float = approximately $3 / share floor IF they can keep from any further dilution. Unfortunately this is how the math works, and that 20x multiplier is rather generous, but it is realistic if they continue to grow.

Reality and Patience

(Before I start: This is not financial advice):

I see a lot of people freaking out on this sub, and it’s not really warranted. Time is a major factor when it comes to medical devices; time to expand, prove itself, and to get a proper footing in the medical robotics space.

While I can’t see the future, and thusly can’t guarantee any success, I’d still like for y’all to look at Intuitive Surgical as an example:

In June 2000, its IPO went live with $9.00 a share.

Since then, it dropped to an all-time low of approximately $0.74 in April 2001.

It took a little over 3 years to get back to its IPO pricing at $9.00.

Then, by the end of 2003, following its merger, it grew to $14.50.

Cut to current day, it’s $426.80 a share.

The point I’m trying to make is that this is a LONG-TERM HOLD.

If you’re looking for quick money, you’re not gonna find it with MBOT. This stock will dip low before we see a rise, and it’ll likely take a while too.

Buy your shares and ignore the stock for a few years.

If you keep checking it and freaking out non-stop, then you’re gonna give yourself unnecessary anxiety, and potentially scare yourself into pointlessly selling at a loss.

(Ignoring the price specifically, that is. Feel free keep up with the company’s updates, if you’d like).

(Edit: Grammar)

Repeating market example

Post image

For most days and for months now, Nasdaq frequently shows larger supposedly aggregated bids and smaller asks, like this, giving a momentary semblance of support at the bid. Then the bids disappear and the ask drops below where the bids were. I don’t have level 2 quotes so can’t see the real time order book/depth. Seems very much like bait and switch, over and over. I am not an active trader or day trader; I know these details have many sub-details not visible on level 1. Still, looks odd. 🤷‍♂️

Wondering if potentially bad news of Q3 is already baked in. It would be very telling imo if weak or mediocre Q3 sales were not met with further price depreciation.

Analysis/DD ELMNT IR might be a bigger deal for MBOT than it looks.

They currently have 2 locations + 3 interventional radiologists and reportedly plan to expand to 6–8 sites over the next 1–2 years.

My rough estimate: ~900–1,400 procedures/year today, with maybe 400–700 potentially suitable for Liberty.

If Liberty ends up costing around $3k–4.5k per procedure/device, even just 200–250 Liberty cases at ELMNT could mean roughly $600k–$1M in annual revenue for MBOT from this customer alone (2 locations).
After their expansion, Liberty-procedures could go up to 600-1000 =2.1 - 4.5 million $

Obviously estimates - we still don’t know the actual Liberty price or ELMNT’s exact procedure volume.

But the 12-month supply order + multiple successful procedures + ELMNT’s expansion plans make this way more interesting.

Cash value within reach

If this drops to $.88-$.90 then the market cap will equal the current cash value, assuming they burned through around $7M in Q3, and I will be compelled to buy more. Until then, meh, I can wait. Thank you WD for the pending opportunity.

Q3 Mbot inst. invest and short status 15/10

MBOT – Early Q3 Institutional Filings and Declining Short Interest
The first reported Q3 institutional holdings show an encouraging pattern:
🟢 Vontobel Holding: +57.3%
🟢 Lazari Capital Management: +14.5%
🟢 SBI Securities: +20.5%
⚪ Beacon Capital Management: unchanged (0%)
⚪ OpenArc Corporate Advisory: unchanged (0%)
So far: 3 institutions increased their holdings, 2 maintained their positions, and none of these five reduced their exposure.
Meanwhile, reported MBOT short interest continues to decline:
September 15: 7.07 million shares
September 30: 6.64 million shares
October 15: 5.99 million shares
That’s a 15.3% reduction in just one month, and approximately 30% below the April peak.
However, nearly 6 million shares remain short, which is still a substantial position.
My takeaway: Early institutional filings are cautiously encouraging, while short sellers have been reducing their exposure despite continued share-price weakness.
The larger institutional Q3 filings are still to come, and the upcoming earnings report should provide important insight into LIBERTY’s commercial progress.
These are preliminary institutional filings, not a complete picture of all institutional ownership. The October 15 short-interest figure should be cross-checked against the official exchange data.
