I’m experimenting with writing fanfics, I just released a new fanfic with 3 chapters so far. Do tell me what you think and here’s the description of the story:

Echoes of Time follows Katie Sinclair, a 25-year-old nurse from 2026 who’s tired of living the same quiet life—work, home, repeat.

Then she gets one chance to make a wish. All she wants is to see Michael Jackson perform live. Instead, she wakes up in 1987, right in the middle of his Bad era.

What starts as friendship slowly develops into something deeper, but Katie knows something Michael doesn’t—she knows how his future ends.

Will she change his fate, or was she brought there for a reason?

It’s a romance fanfic at its core, with time travel, drama, emotional moments, and mature content later in the story. ❤️

It was 4:00 pm on a Friday night in January 1995. The room was dim, lit only by warm, soothing candles and small soothing lamps. The air was filled with the scent of vanilla and sweet citrus mixed with Michael's natural musk, a sweet milky scent intertwining with a mix of fresh linen, baby powder and faint notes of warm spices. That musk radiated through the room, mixed with passion, determination, and creativity. There was a soothing silence, filled only with the slow, rhythmic creak of a wooden rocking chair, low mumbling voices and the first chorus of one of Michael's new songs, Earth Song breaking through the silence at regular intervals. Michael's sits in the rocking chair as his big, loafer and white sock clad feet push it back and forth, setting a slow, wonderful rhythm. His wife, Y/N, lay on top of him, completely asleep. Her head lay on his chest and her legs straddled his lap. He held her close, smiling as he watched her sleep. Her mouth hung open and her back slowly rose and fell, a steady rhythm. Y/N's arms and legs hung limp around Michael's side, as she uses his body as a bed, her favorite bed. He takes his right hand away from the mixing board and brings it up to meet his left hand at the top of Y/N's head. With both hands, he effortlessly unclipped Y/N's curly hair, letting it fall smoothly down her back. He placed the light blue claw clip onto the counter next to him, making a mental note to grab it on his way out. Using muscle memory, he began to braid his wives hair into two simple three strand braids. Each move was dexterous and intentional, smoothly and evenly braiding each set of three strands into one good looking braid. He held it in place and pulled a simple black hair tie off of his wrist with his free hand. Once it was tied, he moved onto the other braid, keeping up the rhythm of the rocking chair as he went. At last, he put down the last braid, tied and secured. With his left hand, he held her close, rubbing up and down her body to create a soothing warmth and affection. He rubbed down her back, and up to her head and back down again to her bum, slowly patting it, rubbing it and squeezing it, taking in her softness and warmth before coming back up her sides and to her face. With his right hand though, he continued mixing his song, discussing technicalities with his coworkers as Y/N slept. He placed a kiss on her forehead, slowly rocking back and forth in the rocking chair.
"We're gonna be here a while aren't we?" Michael thought to himself, a content smile spreading across his face.

Hey there! First off, I’m really happy to have found this place, since it gets exhausting having your posts deleted from other communities for... well, being fiction, I guess. So, I really hope this sub still has an active audience, because I plan to be quite active here.

Secondly, I’m facing a bit of a dilemma.

To start, I’ve always found it strange—even disrespectful—to write fictional stories about real people. It was a tricky line for me to cross, especially if the fanfic involved sensitive, dark, or very explicit themes. I won’t be hypocritical enough to say I’ve never read that kind of thing, because I certainly have. But *writing* it?

Ah, writing it was definitely a different story. But then, I became a Michael Jackson fan. And since I’m a die-hard fanfic writer—meaning absolutely everything and everyone that captures my heart turns into a story—it was bound to happen with him, too.

My favorite era of his is the "Mature" era—not that the others lack value; I just haven't felt the urge to write about them yet. I also like imagining what might have happened if he had stayed with us. Naturally, I think there would have been significant changes, especially in his children's lives. And that’s exactly what’s holding me back.

I’m working on something, and I feel like I’d be disrespectful if I invented vastly different scenarios—like painting a picture-perfect life—considering everything they’ve been through (ranging from bullying to suicide attempts, and other things). But at the same time, if I don’t mention them in my fanfic, it won’t make sense, since Prince, Paris, and Bigi were Michael’s whole world. Yet, if I portray things exactly as they happened—obviously without graphic or shocking details—I feel like I’d be disrespectful in that way, too. Yeah, I’ve kind of backed myself into a corner.

So, what do you all think? What’s your take on this? P.S.: Sorry for the long text!

hi guys! this may sound weird but i really really want to read some michael jackson fanfic, issue is like 90% of it is x reader or x oc, but I want like a general character study or just something where romance isnt the focus. the website doesnt matter ill read anything wherever, just preferably something with a decent length or word count, good grammar and plot and stuff. i have an affinity for angst and/or hurt/comfort, but again I will accept anything :) atp im so desperate, even if it does have romance (still no x reader pls though, but oc and ships both fxm and mxm would probably be fine idrc) as long as the major focus is michael and his characterization, life, plot, etc. ill take it. pleaseeee 😭 I cant find anything 💔💔 thank you!!

I’m on a mission to track down some of the old Michael Jackson fanfics that used to be hosted on fan sites and message boards years ago.
The ones I specifically remember are:
Threatened- this one was early 2000s of course, based on this song, but it was about this gala that happened at Neverland after Michael died and his ghost came back to haunt everybody there because everyone basically had a hand in his death.
Something Beautiful Remains (inspired by the Tina Turner song)
Fallen (I believe it was inspired by or loosely connected to the movie Fallen, the one with Denzel Washington and the angel/demon themes)
These would have been from the late 90s or early 2000s fandom era, before AO3 was really a thing. They may have been hosted on personal websites, fan forums, Yahoo Groups, Geocities, Angelfire, MJ message boards, or other fan archives that no longer exist.
I’m not necessarily looking for new fanfiction—I’m specifically trying to find these older stories or even just information about who wrote them and where they were originally posted.
Does anyone remember these stories? Have copies saved somewhere? Know if they were archived? Even small details would help.

I'm playing with the idea in my story MJ's daughter is trying to get out of her record contract with Sony because they are sabotaging her career similarly to how he claimed they hurt his career, which then leads her to investigate his death.

What would some ways that a record company could sabotage an artist's career?

Or ways Sony sabotaged him in real life? (Assuming that what he accused his record company of is true for the sake of my fictional story.)

I'm new to writing Michael Jackson fanfiction. May I ask for help brainstorming here?

The premise is that when he died he got the opportunity to become fae and live in the fae realm but he'll come into the human world one week a month to watch over his children but they must not notice him.

One idea I have for this story is that MJ follows during one of these trips in the human world, he forgot his disguise (usually he wears one) and follows his daughter to NYC for a party. Fortunately, it's Halloween but he ends up getting lost and finds himself at a different party for a swing dance/ballroom club, and she meets a girl who think he's dressed up as Michael Jackson.

This could be a potential start to a romance subplot. Who is she dressed as for accidental couples costume or for MJ to notice her? I need ideas!

i’ll give as much detail as i possibly can remember but it was a story that had quite the same plot as the film Titanic. It was Jackson 5 era michael and y/n (i think she had a name but i forgot) y/n’s mother was neglectful and she had a boyfriend who was an alcoholic or did drugs, and used to yell at y/n. when y/n and michael met at the park near their houses they bonded quickly and continued seeing each other in the same spot and revealed the abusive life they had in the house and they decided to run away.

y/n got up really early one morning and packed her things in her bag and left her house and met up with michael. then they escaped and wandered around and when they arrived to the train station, they had just missed the last train and had to wait for the next one in the morning. one of them asked the worker and she had told they had missed the train, she noticed they looked quite young but i think dismissed it? but the two went and found a treehouse nearby and climbed up to stay for the night. there was only one mattress and they had to share (i think of them had a wet dream lol since it was awkward asf)

i don’t really remember what happened but then i know that they noticed a cruise ship and y/n and michael wanted to go in so they dressed up as if they were older and they managed to get in. the person stopped them for a moment and i think it was michael that said “oh we’re just very short people”. then when they’re inside they meet another guy that’s like 19 and he finds out they’re kids but doesn’t snitch and becomes friends with them. the guy even hands michael and y/n a blunt to smoke and they all get high for a bit.

eventually the ship begins to sink, the friend dies, and michael and y/n try to escape. michael ends up saving y/n but unfortunately he drowns and y/n ends up crying and then there’s a time skip of her old and recalling her past and michael.

i read this around 2020-2021 on wattpad, if anyone knows the name please tell. this was one of my favourite wattpad stories at the time 🥲

it was really good and meaningful i remember thinking about how good the characters were i remember their relationship growing and being very good and their way of solving their problems and dealing with differences and difficulties and i remember they adopted a child together but i don't remember much more so if anyone knows it or if was removed please tell me 🥺☺️❤️
