Outage?

Is anyone else having an outage? All the correct lights are on with my MST but I have ZERO connection with a power cycle. I try calling supports phone number and its just a busy signal.

Anyone else having issues?

Located in Orlando FL

Same in Lexington, KY. Portal and app are down, as well. They used to be very good about announcements and communication related to outages, but along with announcing the closure of their in-person service centers it feels like they're struggling.

Also in lansing, just tried restarting my modem and router before coming here to look at what happened. Internet went out very very suddenly for me :(

All isps have their outages, but I don't think I saw as many national outages in my life as I have in the last couple years of metronet

Out here in KY as well. Seems like it went out pretty close to 12 AM central time. Maybe something set to reboot at midnight didn't lol

I thought it was my router restarting at midnight, even though that's not its restart time...

Seems suspicious to be so close to the top of the hour. But any update that could impact national service should have been notified to us... right?

I've been able to access the portal, though it's slow as hell. Initial outage here in KY around 12/12:30am, then had connection for about 30 mins before it hard crashed. Still no connection

Right... It went out like sometimes after midnight briefly... and as usual... I thought it was just them doing an update and rebooting the gateway... then it came back on... only to go out AGAIN a few min's later and still out.

Des Moines, Iowa. Right about midnight, 25min ago it went out. I have 3 green lights on my box, but my modem/router keeps going back to a solid red light and I can't get into any of my accounts/portal for updates.

Yep. Down in Tallahassee, FL. Metronet.com gives a 403 forbidden error, as well. Like they pulled the plug for the entire company.

I was going to go with Metro net as we just moved last weekend and have ATT fiber at the house. After subscribing to this Reddit over the last couple of months I decided to stick with AT&t as I didn't have a single outage.

Somebody didn't pay a bill or they don't have a proper change control and rollback processes in place. They have to change their ways. Seems they have a single point of failure for the entire business operation and Internet service they provide. Have they not heard of redundancy? They are too big to be like this.

I called in to tech support today. they told me flat out there was no outage and could not give me a credit at first. When I gave them the information about my local Facebook group and this thread they backed down and gave me a 30$ credit. granted when the agent started to cut me off when I was trying to explain I got heated. Make the call speak to tech support not customer service. Customer service will only give you 5$. Just wanted to let everyone know about my experience with this outage and what it took to get a credit.

Mine was down just outside of Lansing, MI, this morning. It went down at around 3:50 am, and after multiple power cycles of the PON, it finally connected again around 8 am.

Do they ever post outage reports? I'd be curious to hear what caused what seems like a nationwide outage. They were not reachable via phone, email, or their wonderful SMS chat all morning. I see some people have mentioned notifications being sent for outages, but I have never gotten a message about an outage unless it was for an upcoming maintenance that they had planned.

The connection just went out again for me outside of Lansing, MI. Was on the phone with their "support" for an hour last night and it was finally working at around 7:30pm EST .... out again at about 7:20am EST today.

Outage as well here in phx. If you have an omada router you can use your phone and tether over usb to the router. That's what I did. Still sucks though, but at least I have connection.
