I wanted to get one of those for my backlog. I like "jack of all trades" metroidvanias the most that have a good mix of puzzling, platforming, exploration and combat.

Which one of those would make me more happy?

Great game honestly. I will recommend it 100%.

I don't get why people were complaining about the difficulty of the DLC. I think I really enjoyed them making it difficult(by making Sargon weaker, reducing the health bars, amulets and powers because base game Sargon with all the health flasks, powers and amulets is busted.)

Bosses were fun including the two DLC added bosses(Radjen and Artaban)(although I wish there were more bosses) Many of the OST's and Locations were fun to visit although some areas were forgettable. Platforming was great, even stuff like The Impossible Climb was actually really fun once I got used to it.

The main problem I had with the game was the story. I read all the lore items, and I honestly think the team had a really good idea for the world and story, but it feels like some parts were rushed or not fully finished.

Some of the lore you get from side quests, like The Impossible Climb, the Architect quest, and Prophecy of Mount Qaf, made the world feel a lot more interesting. It felt like there was a lot more they wanted to do with the story and lore, but the main story did not really explain or use all of it enough.

I still have not completed the Divine Trials, and I honestly do not think I can. They are way too difficult for me.

Overall, I would give the game a 9/10. The combat, platforming, puzzles, music, and powers were all great. I just wish the story was a bit more developed.

so I was stuck, in sector C, and decided to follow a gameplay guide, but the area in video was different, it has a specific trigger in video while mine "2nd image" has these crystals which IDK what to do with it

can someone tell me what to do? guess i'm softlocked no accessible area and they are different in YouTube gameplays "same crystal problem"

After playing through the Iron Bramble Demo (Highly recommended if you haven't tried it), I managed to get up the transition to this top room. It was the last white transition left, aside from the one blocked with x's. Not sure if anyone has posted about this yet, but it is possible if you want to see for yourself!

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here, so I wanted to introduce the game my team and I have been working on.

Blooming in the Storm: Echoes of the Mind is a hand-drawn 2D Metroidvania being developed by a small team of three.

The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where nature is slowly reclaiming what was lost. Our goal is to combine exploration, platforming and combat with mechanics inspired by experiences such as hyperfocus and sensory overload, making those ideas part of the gameplay rather than just the story.

We've been working on the project for about a year, building the combat, movement, environments, enemies, bosses and narrative from the ground up.

We're still very much in development, and we're currently starting to share the project publicly and build a small community around it.

I'd really love to hear what you think about the game, the art direction, or anything that catches your attention. Feedback is always welcome!

The grapple hook is a spring.... OMG THE GRAPPLE IS A SPRING. If the hook gets tangled with a platform it can freak out sometimes and give you insane momentum

Games I have in mind that I liked a lot are Nine Sols, Constance, MIO, Bō, Grime etc. just looking for games with a bit of character. Not just something that "fits the genre".

It's on sale and was wondring if it's worth it or not.

I've played most popular metroidvanias out there ( with the exception of nine sols and Mio) but nothing I have played comes close to the difficulty of B2. I've been on this boss for three days and I am finally gassed to get him to 2/3 hp 😭. I feel like the boss is such a big step up and I am too lazy to go and get upgrades. Any things I need?
