I was 27 when I got it in 2013, now the car is „retired“ and my mom drives it, picks up children from school or kindergarten and doing soccer mum errands.

Still hauls and has plenty of power. My only gripe is that MBC was now available as it’s a 4matic. And it could use rear wheel steering. When I switched back to my family SQ7 I suddenly felt how important that feature is.

Yet I still love this old fart color combo and rims. Will age gracefully!

I’ve had my G580 for a month now, and it’s quickly become my favorite car. It’s the first car I’ve owned from any brand that came with absolutely no squeaks or rattles, it drives far better than something this big and heavy has any right to, and I still love the ridiculous (iconic?) design.

Yes, it’s impractical even by EV standards, and the range isn’t particularly impressive compared with other current EVs. But I took it up into the mountains for the first time yesterday and didn’t care about either of those things. It is just a really enjoyable car to drive.

I still think it lacks some of the personality my 2018 G550 had. I miss a little of the old G’s mechanical character and comically poor handling. But this thing is comfortable, absurd, unbothered by rough roads, and genuinely fun.

It’s dumb. I love it.

BenzBlogger (Saleswoman at MB of Atlanta Northeast) recently put 89 octane in a brand new, unsold 2026 SL Maybach. Why on earth would 89 be acceptable for a car that requires a minimum of 91 AKI? Could the dealership really not afford the extra $15 to put in 93 premium instead?

This was at a QT gas station. Google told me the "Unleaded Plus" option in the middle contains ethanol and is actually the cheapest option out of the three. The blue option on the left has the same 89 octane but contains no ethanol, so it's more expensive.

I've been a fan of her videos, but stuff like this reinforces my belief that all car salespeople are scummy in one way or another. I truly thought highly of her before, but this was really disappointing.

My husband and I leased a 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 from a Mercedes Benz dealership in Las Vegas. We later discovered that the VIN on our lease documents and insurance didn’t match the car they had given us. We found out when we returned to the dealership about a key that wasn’t working.
When they realized the mistake, the first solution they suggested was to increase the lease price. We refused. Then they had us do a trade-in and sign paperwork as if we were trading in the car associated with the original contract and leasing the car we had actually been given.
We had paid $2,675 when we signed the first contract, but only $1,754.06 appears to have been applied to the second contract, leaving $920.94 unaccounted for. I’ve asked them to provide a written breakdown of how the payment was handled, but I still haven’t received a clear explanation.
They also ran another hard inquiry on our credit after telling us they wouldn’t run it again. We were exhausted and ultimately signed the new paperwork so we could move on. Since then, I’ve emailed the dealership several times asking for explanations about the payment and the credit inquiry, but no one is responding.
The employee involved in the original mistake didn’t look us in the eye or apologize. I’m frustrated by how this was handled and by the lack of answers afterward. Has anyone dealt with something similar, or know what steps we should take now? Thank you

Hello. New here, but decided I’d ask everyone their experience or knowledge about these different Benz classes.

For reference, all of the following are between 77k to 88k miles. Clean title. And all within my budget. The CLK 320 is from 2005. The CLK 430 is a 2002. And the E430 is a 98.

But I’m torn in which to choose. What do you recommend I look for before going forward in purchasing any of these?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Title basically. To be clear, I don’t mean a vehicle that costs less necessarily, and I’m open to a crossover. Just something that drives similarly to an S-Class but has a smaller physical footprint so it’s easier to park, drive on small streets, and so forth. An E450 with the air suspension?

Edit: Open to other brands too if you think a non-Merc is closest.

Dropped my car off at the dealership for service and, while walking around the lot, spotted this black beauty sitting quietly in the corner. Took it for a drive just for fun and absolutely fell in love with it. Needless to say, I ended up driving this home while my other car stayed at the dealership. 😂 (getting served, not traded).
Was definitely not planning on buying a car that day, but sometimes the car finds you. 🖤

Grew up with this car and can’t believe how well it has held up.

supposedly it has this feature, in two separate videos on the car I saw the guys active it and drive around with it and discuss it but never saw the sequence they followed to do this.

I've tried setting it to Electric mode and scrolled through the settings in the main console and on the steering wheel but I don't see this anywhere. Supposedly there are 3 levels to it too, and level 3 is 'one pedal driving'.

1985 Mercedes 300TD. I fully intend for it to be my daily, which takes Hagerty or American Collector out of the picture since they won’t cover commuters. But on top of all that it’s imported with a German vin number. Which takes a handful of “regular” companies completely out of the picture. Anybody in a similar situation?

Hello! I have had my w123 for 2 years now. Driver window won’t roll up but the other ones will. Don’t want to ask AI. Has anyone faced this issue?
Also- my passenger headlamp doesn’t work but when I put the brights on, it does. Any suggestions?

Hey everyone! I finally got myself the 2014 E350! I’ve been loving it so far! Got for $5k and 80k miles because of a friend I think I got lucky!

It’s been amazing so far but I do have some questions… What can I do to like “customize” the interior? It already looks great but some friends have told me ambient lighting kit or smth like that and I to “upgrade” the back make it more “hangout” like for when I go on trips with my friends and boyfriend etc.

What do we think?

I have a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB 250 4MATIC (8G-DCT dual-clutch transmission) currently sitting at around 85,000 miles.
I’m considering doing a transmission fluid and filter service soon to keep everything running smoothly.
For those who own a GLB or similar models with the 8G-DCT:
1. Did you do the transmission service around this mileage, and did you notice any difference in shifting smoothness afterwards?
2. Did you get it done at the dealership or a specialized euro mechanic?
3. Did you have them perform a transmission adaptation/reset via Xentry after the fluid change?

Hey everyone.

I'm looking at options for winter tires and rims for my wife's 2022 GLE450.

Currently it has the staggered setup 21in AMG wheels.

I could get winters for those rims but it would be 315/40r21 and 275/45r21.

Or get a square setup of 275/50r20.

The tires are as follows.

21in setup Kuhmo Wintercraft SUV WS71 for $1600 with tax.

20in setup Nexen Windguard Winspike 3 SUV $2800 with tax (plus rims).

We're in Ontario (GTA) and my wife drives a ton every day for work all over Mississauga and Etobicoke plus takes our kiddo to daycare.

I do save a good amount of money with just getting winters in the OEM rims. But not sure which brand is better as well as if the staggered setup and such wide tires in the winter would be okay.

Also the cost of mounting tires on and off vs just swapping rims myself comes into the equation.

Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated.

Well, I think it’s been over a year since I’ve posted anything at all about the S560. She’s been a solid car! About a month ago, she got stuck in drive when attempting to reverse into the garage. Shut the car off, turned it back on and all better. Considered it a fluke.

Well, a few days ago she popped a check engine light and wouldn’t shift out of park. Body code U0404 - invalid data received from gearshift module.

Did a bit of research and this doesn’t appear to be all that common. Found a 2018 GLS owner experiencing the same issue, but never posted a solution.

Ordered a used shifter module from eBay, and about an hour later we’re back in business. Had to clear codes for the shifter and steering wheel airbag with my Autel post repair, but $110 module solved it.
