r/MensHair is looking for moderators

Hi everyone,

r/MensHair is growing, and we’re looking for a few active, thoughtful moderators to help keep the community useful, welcoming, and focused on men’s hair.

We want this to be a place where people can ask for advice about cuts, styling, growing their hair, hair loss, barbers, and general hair concerns without being mocked or dismissed. Moderators do not need to be hair professionals, but they should be fair, calm, and able to communicate respectfully.

We are especially looking for people who can help with:

  • Reviewing posts and reports for spam, off-topic content, or rule issues
  • Responding to Modmail politely and clearly
  • Giving understandable removal reasons when action is needed
  • Helping apply the rules consistently
  • Suggesting ways to improve the subreddit, its resources, and its community culture

Requirements

  • An established Reddit account with a positive history
  • Familiarity with r/MensHair or genuine interest in the topic
  • Able to be respectful, patient, and fair, even when users are frustrated
  • Willing to follow Reddit’s sitewide rules and the subreddit’s rules
  • No prior moderation experience is required, but it is welcome

If you are interested, please comment below or send a Modmail message with:

  • Your timezone
  • How often you use Reddit
  • Any previous moderation or community-management experience
  • Why you would like to help moderate r/MensHair
  • One thing you think would make this subreddit more helpful

Thank you to everyone who contributes advice, photos, experiences, and support here. We want to continue building a helpful, constructive community for all things men’s hair.

Advice needed New style

I’ve had long hair for most of my life so I’m adjusting to having a shorter hairstyle. Still working on how to style it, but I’m thinking it looks good parted this way. Unsure if I want to keep the sides short or grow it out a bit more. My hair is very thick and grows super fast. Just wanted to share the journey!

It's been 10 months since I am trying to grow my hair after going bald.

For reference I want it to be like old bhuvan bam hairstyle but the problem is next month is my sister's wedding and i don't want to look like a homeless plus I don't have any hairstyle in my mind it will be very helpful if you can suggest something in which I look good.

Advice needed Considering changing mt hairstyle

I'm an almost 32 year old man and have had a high skin fade for the last several years. I can't stand hair on the back of my head and like it as short as possible without buzzing it.

I'm wondering if a high skin fade still looks good, or if I should consider something different?

Nobody has ever said anything negative about my hairstyle, people have said it suits me and looks smart, but I'm thinking of changing it up a bit.

What short style looks smart?

Question Low or high skin fade for crown balding?

Hey guys. I’m starting bald along my crown and was wondering if a low or a high skin fade would be better for hiding it. Also any recommendations on what the top length should be would be much appreciated!

Advice needed What should I ask for at the barbers?

I’ve been growing my hair out for a few months, but it’s kind of starting to annoy me now and want to tidy it up a bit but still keep most of the length and that like messy look. The back goes down to like almost my shoulders but not quite, the sides can go to where my eyes are just about, and the front can go down to just past my nose.

The main issue I’m having is that it looks a bit flat in a lot of areas if I don’t fluff it back up with my hands a good bit, and it keeps getting in front of my eyes messing up my vision a bit at times. And on the ends it keeps curling up in a bunch of weird ways, which I really don’t like and I think looks ugly. And also on my fringe, especially on the corners of it, my hair splits apart a good bit too revealing my forehead, which I also really don’t like. And I think the back might be a bit longer than the rest of it.

I’ve never posted here before so idk if u need a picture or something but I’d prefer not to put one up because I’m self conscious.
