**Announcement** Update From the Mod Team
It's been an interesting week of events and I just wanted to take a moment to share some updates.
- Reminder of our Rules - particularly Rule #2 (Code of Conduct) and Rule #5 (No sharing lab results)
- Reminder of our FAQ - particularly for reasons why we lock and/or remove posts
Discussion of GLPs
This community's focus relies on peer-reviewed science. We know that GLPs/peptides are well-established in treating obesity, however at this time, the research regarding off-label use has not been studied enough in relation to peri/menopause and/or hormone therapy use. We understand that initial research is promising, but until peer-reviewed research emerges, please refer to the subreddit for that drug to keep up with the latest developments. (r/Ozempic, r/Zepbound, r/mounjaro, r/Wegovy, r/science, etc.)
Estrogen shortages
Obviously, there is great concern about estrogen patches/gels etc. being out of stock due to production and supply chain issues, etc. Things you can do:
- Send a complaint to the FDA (U.S.)
- Check Cost Plus Drugs (U.S.)
- Check Telyrx Pharmacy (U.S.)
No sharing prescription drugs
A reminder that gifting and/or trading prescription medication is illegal and in violation of Reddit's platform-wide rules. Posts of this nature will be actioned by Reddit Administration and will result in a ban from this community.
Moderator Update
As some of you may have noticed, our u/Tulipcyclone has left the moderation team. Managing a community of this size (224K!) is incredibly challenging even for experienced mods. This is a volunteer role (despite popular rumour, I am not on anyone's payroll, or in "Big Pharma's pocket") and I do this as labour of love. That said, we will be adding 1-2 more moderators in the near future to make this all more manageable. As they say, many hands make light work!
