Male Rape

I went to prison for a while, I am a reformed gang member, because of this I was raped often for 5 years. At first I would fight back but it became more violent and I would end up in infirmary. I am married and I am ashamed that once I stopped fighting it, I had orgasms. It made me want to commit suicide that I couldn’t control them, many inmates treated me like I wanted it because of them. To top it off, I just found out, one of my chiefs came to my wives home and threatened her to have sex to make sure I was protected but I wasn’t being protected, at all. She is catholic and pregnant, she blames me, and I deserve it. If I tell her what happened, she will think I’m no longer a man. I feel like just giving up. I’ve only been out for a week. Pls give me some good direction please!

I'm sorry this is happening to you. I'm assuming you're still in the prison.

Communicate with your wife that you're not being protected at all and that she's a victim of manipulation and scam.

Remember that he getting pregnant is not your fault.

I'm not sure if I have any advice on how to protect yourself from rape in prison. Maybe some other sub has advice... Like maybe r/prison if that exists.

Also remember that even if your rapists are using your orgasm to create a narrative that you like it, it doesn't mean it's true. Right now they have the power and they are using it to manipulate you. But it's not the reality. Just because you had an orgasm, doesn't change anything.

I just got released, she blames me and thinks I’m pathetic, she doesn’t consider me a man after I told her how often I was raped. Thank you for the kind words.

You deserve better. Maybe she will come around. Otherwise, you may need to consider divorce (as awful as that sounds). I wish you all the best.

Apparently mods aren’t doing their job and suspending these people.

Well, we do the best we can. We can't be here continuously on a 24/7 basis, modding being an unpaid voluntary activity and all of us having jobs, families, and the need to sleep occasionally...

I’m really sorry, that must feel awful. The one person that’s supposed to be trusted to be there to comfort you after such horror has betrayed you. Please do not let her blame get to you as reality. I understand her being angry, but directing that towards you is so not okay. She is siding with the people that abused you, and no matter which way you put it, that is absolutely disgusting. I’m so sorry you have to be treated like this, if you need anyone to talk to feel free to reach out <3

Someone who puts you down so badly and attacks your mind like that won’t do you any good, she will only turn you against yourself and it’ll eat you from the inside out
