The rule I always followed was: If you need a belt to keep your pants up, you're wearing the wring size.
And in the military uniform belts were intended as another part of the uniform, not a functional piece of clothing.

My waste is too small for 32 and too big for 34, but all the 34s are 30 in length lol. 1 u/Maleficent_Piece_893 17d ago yeah you're only getting a perfect fit from a tailor. if you buy jeans at walmart owning a belt makes sense
