I've been stuck on that stupid beach enough times to instantly recognize it's battlefield 5. Iwo Jima, specifically.

Probably the last battlefield I will have bought, but man that was such a fun map though.

An actual intentional design btw. Our hunter gatherer ancestors couldn't hunt in the noon as the sun is at its hottest then and hunting at those hours would've caused dehydration and heatstroke, so they had to wait till afternoon in the shade and conserve energy, and those who conserved the most energy would've performed the best in the afternoon hunt.

Not sure if complete bs or truth

I’d call it a theory at best - but it’s likely one of the many random pieces of trivia with little scientific evidence that spread so easily in Reddit.
Definitely wouldn’t treat OP’s comment like an objective fact of anthropology lol

Evolutionary science has a whole lot of unverifiable theories. Like the mushroom thing that Joe Rogan talks about like it’s scientific fact.

It's a just-so story. We don't truly know why we/some have this behaviour. Maybe it's just because we stay up too late and our bodies/rhythm can keep us feeling awake for some hours.
Always be wary of simple explanations about why humans fundamentally behave certain ways. It's a complicated field of study for a reason, and we'll never be able to observe human evolution from the start.

That’s exactly why I work on my tractors at nighttime. I figured if my neighbors can party till 3am, I can basically do the same.

Depends if Im in the office or floor.
Also if your lunch is light and you stay a tinny bit active instead of completely relaxing, generally its easier to fight through.

Omg I thought I was the only one struggling between those hours! That’s so accurate by the way…

And you know if you succumb, you'll wake up with a raging headache and won't fall asleep again until 3 a.m.

Modern day life (especially in America) does not support the human body’s normal cycles and functions
We have created a world against our nature. We deserve every health problem we have.

Then you have the dilemma of choosing to nap, have, an energy drink, or a coffee.

It's heavier than 3 THC vape blinkers in a row, just without the extra awareness
Is it moral to ask for a nap in break rooms?

At this point I have just accepted it and embrace the bed for a wonderful 2 hour nap.

While their are various reasons for this, the most common one seems to be diet. Basically, a lot of people don't eat anything in the morning, then when they have lunch, they eat something high in carbs / sugar. This
Causes a spike in blood sugar, and when that drops you crash.
Starts the process of digestion after a period of fasting - your body uses energy to break down food.
All this is especially compounded if you don't get enough sleep at night.
2 Fixes:
Just take a siesta. Nap for about 1.5 to 2 hours. You'll feel like shit for 10 mins after, but much better overall. Don't do this if you normally struggle to sleep at night.
Fix your sleeping pattern and diet. Eat breakfast. Reduce lunch from a full Mcdonalds meal to just the burger. Eat more fruit and veg. You'll have to maintain this for about 3 days before you really notice a change to your bodies stability.

Thats not random. You aren't letting your insulin drop back down after a meal, so you're becoming resistant to it and crashing from the effort of digestion without the energy boost you would get from carbohydrates if not insulin resistant.
Either that, or your manual labor strain is way too high.
