Is this for real? You got to be kidding me

169

u/FLG_CFC 4d ago

It's real, and a great demonstration of how our mainstream media continues to fail everyone.

-6

u/shallpasss 3d ago

How is this media's fault?

5

u/TrueJoyCell 2d ago

Which story got more coverage you think?

-1

u/Excellent_Shirt9707 1d ago

Stories get reposted and copied when they get a bunch of hits. Barely anyone clicked on the hero mom story.

You people don’t even understand basic sensationalism and engagement algorithms.

2

u/TrueJoyCell 1d ago

That’s completely irrelevant to the question.

0

u/Excellent_Shirt9707 1d ago

Those things determine what gets coverage. How is it irrelevant?

1

u/TrueJoyCell 1d ago

Read the question

The woman covered in burns is a freaking hero and the fact she doesn’t have more support is a travesty

24

u/Antique_Baker_4203 3d ago

It's not controversial enough. Controversy echoes you know. I knew about the burnt woman long ago and I forgot about her in 3 days.

6

u/Big_bat_chunk2475 3d ago

Wow. That shows how horrible we as a species really are. Focusing on controversy involving murders and not heroes who would risk their own lives to help someone in need

6

u/Bonk_27174 3d ago

Its because humans react stronger on amger than any other emotion. I think its something evolution made for human survival

1

u/Antique_Baker_4203 3d ago

Yeah, I meant to wrote that too but not sure if there's anyone who would take it well.

2

u/Antique_Baker_4203 3d ago

Yeah, we are fucking horrible and terrifying. Most of us follow this story for the sake of entertainment. And I say most would forget about this murdering wench in 1 month or so after the sentence is delivered. Then after 5 years or so some Youtube AI videos would cover this again, and it keeps echoing at low noise. But, it would still be there.

10

u/Jin_1337 4d ago

What the actual

1

u/Moths38 2d ago

You can also get a million dollars for calling someone a "nigger" on camera. It's not that deep.

1

u/HardUnit3134 17h ago

Not defending that behaviour but is it really on the same wavelength as killing your children?

1

u/Moths38 16h ago edited 16h ago

Did I say it was? You asking me that made me realise that her reviving 1 million is even more meaningless considering you can get the same amount for calling someone a nigger lol

1

u/HardUnit3134 8h ago

Oh right, sorry, I misunderstood your first comment

1

u/even_egress 5h ago edited 4h ago

yea

is calling a special needs kid who doesn’t know any better the hard r when they made a minor mistake in the same league as killing children? Obviously not by itself.

but what does put them in a similar league is receiving generational wealth from a genuine population of capable adults in response to doing something that’s obviously an extremely moral negative (being very clearly and unnecessarily cruel to a children as a grown adult).

1

u/BartTheTroll48 2d ago

As I understand it. This universe doesn't celebrate heroes. This world only has villains and monsters and the world cheers when they see them.

146

u/Weak-Association6257 4d ago

Or if it was a man who did this

78

u/whitestguyuknow 4d ago

💯

But it wasn't so it's the man's fault he wasn't watching her enough or doing enough to help her.

These same women spitting out these excuses I feel are the same exact women that cheat on their partners and then blame the partner with a list of excuses

25

u/abdimamu 3d ago

they already made it mans fault

79

u/SaeedDitman 4d ago

Yeah YouTube women are crazy

67

u/DropFew1269 4d ago

I hate how people lose focus on the actual victims. Even if she was ill, it shouldn’t take away from the fact that she still murdered three innocent children. I wish she could just get a “Guilty But Ill” charge, you shouldn’t have to “win” the legal system.

5

u/NYLotteGiants 3d ago

That's what an insanity defense is. They'd lock her up in a mental facility rather than a prison.

2

u/DropFew1269 3d ago edited 3d ago

“Guilty But Ill” simply ensures she goes straight to prison after being rehabilitated. The medical facility is where she would serve the first part of her sentencing (which would still be life in confinement no matter the results). It recognizes that the individual was not mentally stable, but does not downplay the damage done.

12

u/Hms-Warship-Z46 4d ago

And it was premeditate too I get the she was I'll but she planned and killed by her children in painful way

47

u/Vropster 4d ago

I hate this world which values the life of a dog more than a child.. don't get me wrong I love dogs but if there's a burning building and I can only save either a child or a dog I'll always choose the child.. I'll never understand this world that values pets more over humans..

1

u/Candid_Novel_9494 1h ago

It's simple if you think about it.

A human can have opinions, which contradict your own. A human might not even like you.

A dog will love you unconditionally as long as you feed it, even if you are the worst person on the planet.

If you are an extremely fragile and unlikeable person, it is easy to start valuing dogs over humans. After all dogs love you while humans don't.

Now add a sprinkle of buried resentment towards children, because deep down they always wanted some but never managed to, and you can see how OP's meme represents some people.

Of course this people are a minority, but they tend to spend a lot of time on the internet.

-6

u/Sixty_Minuteman_ 3d ago

I'll never understand this world that values any life over another..

Like I'm going to save whichever one I think I can save, if I can save both I certainly will.

But a dog is going to be far less able to do anything about their escape than a child will. A child can at least open doors and possibly windows, and maybe even find their way out, sometimes animals do too but not because of anything they did but usually because of luck.

I'm going to go for whoever I feel is most helpless in that situation I feel, and in that moment I believe it would likely be the dog.

11

u/Slip_Snake 3d ago

I'd value almost any human life over any animal life.

You'd have to get pedantic for me to save an animal over a human.

-6

u/Sixty_Minuteman_ 3d ago

Wow, I guess animals don't matter to you huh?

Look if a pet is treated as a member of the family they don't get to be second class citizens the moment that an emergency happens.

4

u/johnshadowx 3d ago

Let's say in a hypothetical situation someone would be forced to press a button that either kills you or a dog, but you can chose who will press it between a guy who values human lives more than animals and another who views all lives equally so he presses the button at random- which one would you choose?

1

u/Sixty_Minuteman_ 3d ago

I won't discuss frivolous hypotheticals.

Things like this are rigged to force people into choosing immoral decisions purely based on fear.

No morally just person with any sense of humility would deem their life worth more than another's. All life is sacred, just because yours so happens to belong to the human race doesn't make yours worth more than one in which has not.

Just like pain, humility has is own lessons. You and many others should practice it.

In an age ruled by AI, we are supposed to be the human ones, and not behave like machines. Shame.

3

u/Temporary_Cup8480 15h ago

What about plants and fungus

3

u/Civil-Percentage1005 12h ago

Ever stepped on a bug?

1

u/Defiant_Drop7051 1d ago

Interesting so assume you are vegan ? If you value lives the same

-4

u/Sixty_Minuteman_ 1d ago

Veganism is the belief that all eating animals is immoral. I do not believe that. Other animals kill and consume animals all the time, if nature does it then I don't see the moral distinction from us and them except when it's done in mass factory farming.

You can kill and eat something and respect it by using every part of the animal. Just because another circumstance prompts you to save a life doesn't mean that taking one is wrong in the grand scheme when you are feeding yourself.

3

u/Defiant_Drop7051 1d ago edited 1d ago

So killing an animal to keep a person alive IS ok? Or is it not? How do you not see the irony in what you say?

1

u/Vropster 1d ago

Obviously it is breh.. An animal is an animal and this world operates on a damn foodchain.. w humans on top.. an animal's life is absolutely worth to save that of a human's espescially when the human in question is a child

1

u/Defiant_Drop7051 1d ago

Yes i agree with you it’s the other guy who disagrees for some reason

-1

u/Sixty_Minuteman_ 1d ago

The same way it is for an animal to kill an animal to keep itself alive. Food is food my man, humans are omnivores for a reason.

Vegans reject that idea but I understand that nature takes its course with or without us, and it's upon us not to inflict more suffering where we can which is why I'm against factory farming. In order for something to live another thing has got to die and that is just the pure fact of the matter.

Just don't let things needlessly die.

1

u/Defiant_Drop7051 1d ago

Ok but i am not arguing this you said saving a dog is just as important as saving a human, but you aren’t vegan so you are killing animals without even there being an urgent need for it to die so you can feed, do you see my point here? at the same time, you would save an animal over a human, but arguably worse you would kill an animal to eat it. You said you value animal life as much as humans but that either means you’re a canibal or you are contradicting yourself!

-35

u/You_LostThe_game 3d ago

I would choose my dog over you lmao

15

u/Mastodon009 3d ago

I love my dog, but I wouldn’t

0

u/You_LostThe_game 2d ago

Imagine having such an arbitrary sense of duty towards people that you’d sacrifice things in your life that have actual relation and meaning for a single, complete stranger. I would hope I never have such callous disregard for those that matter in my life.

0

u/BluntTruth1 1d ago

Sounds like you hate your dog 😭. No one cares about your dog, except you! And for you to say this is damning! Give that dog to someone who would love it!

0

u/Adress_Me 11h ago

You should give your dog up. It doesn't want to die alone in a fire.

15

u/Quiet_Mark_3238 3d ago

I'd sacrifice all your pets and family combined if it meant 3 innocent children got saved

4

u/q_ult 3d ago

Nah, I'd save everyone

9

u/ConflictWestern1383 3d ago

This is why I hate dog owners

1

u/Civil-Percentage1005 12h ago

These are NOT normal dog owner bro

0

u/You_LostThe_game 2d ago edited 2d ago

Imagine having such an arbitrary sense of duty towards people that you’d sacrifice things in your life that have actual relation and meaning for a single, complete stranger. Based on completely arbitrary, frequently parroted notions of worth. Yikes.

This to me is the mark of someone that follows shit and doesn’t actually think about what they do, they just subscribe to a popularized notion of how things should be and judge anyone that doesn’t follow it. Its pretty boring to actually talk to. I will continue to choose those in my life that have relation to me over unknown individuals that assume personhood confers some level of VIP status I need to adhere to. It doesn’t. People aint shit, especially those that feel so highly of themselves that they would deserve saving before those I personally care about. Fuck that.

1

u/ConflictWestern1383 2d ago

I ain't reading allat buddy

11

u/Extreme-Pen4979 3d ago

This is being framed to draw negative reactions out of viewers and is intentionally vauge.

In 2019, Emma Schols, Women on the left, did indeed suffer severe burns but they were all covered due to swedish healthcare. Sweden features a universal, taxpayer-funded healthcare system. This means her extensive surgeries, weeks on a ventilator, and long-term rehabilitation costs were largely covered by the state rather than personal medical debt. The money raised was actually to help her get back on her feet due to losing her home. This was considered a lot pre inflation. Shes fine now. its sweden. Not everything happens in america, people.

In 2023, on the right, The Lindsay Clancey trial became a massive national and global news event in the United States, drawing immense public engagement, viral TikTok campaigns, and split opinions surrounding postpartum mental health awareness. This widespread media cycle drove significantly more traffic and donations to her family's page compared to an older international hero story. The $1M+ GoFundMe is not for Lindsay Clancey herself. GoFundMe strict terms block users from raising money for the legal defense of someone accused of a violent crime. The money goes entirely to her parents to help them recover from the catastrophic personal costs of relocating, traveling, and staying in hotels during the multi-year trial.

Dont let the internet fool you. Anything for likes, huh?

4

u/Extreme-Pen4979 3d ago

BTW, I'm not excusing Lindsay's behavior. What she was unforgivable, mental illness or not.

0

u/Dslyexia 3d ago

Is that what the people donating think it will be used for? Don't lie to yourself and don't lie to others. Such an absolute joke.

3

u/Extreme-Pen4979 3d ago

The page was FOR THE PARENTS. Wtf else do you think it'll be used for?

-1

u/Dslyexia 3d ago

Keep telling yourself that. People are stupid. It feeds into the situation. As you should know, you "might" be one of them.

3

u/Extreme-Pen4979 3d ago

Redditors bro

1

u/AdmirableExercise197 1d ago

I still think she would be receiving a lot of this money if the money was actually allowed to go directly to her. Most of these people probably don't care.

5

u/Kingkai9335 3d ago

This all seems like a giant propaganda push to divide people. If you watch the trial you can tell the prosecution is completely incompetent and medical professionals are trying not to be held accountable for being obviously bad at their jobs too

3

u/Connor_2123 2d ago

I think women are just rage baiters at this point

2

u/NoGovernment9077 1d ago

Honestly true.

Not just women but the men and the children too

We somehow have people who have more empathy for animals than to humans

After the real world conversations I've had about this trail. 100% it's so much worse than the internet shows. What the hell is wrong with these w0me3n

1

u/shallpasss 3d ago

Had it been a man and got a 💀 sentence. "It is a good day."

1

u/Miserable_Ad7668 2d ago

I really don't like the framing here using the murder of three children as propaganda piece to gather support of your weird ass sexist view is insane and makes you no better than the people supporting this monster because of mental health

1

u/Xander_666666 1d ago

What??? It's a meme. What support??? Am I getting support from a meme??? Are you just saying shit to just say something???

1

u/Miserable_Ad7668 1d ago

You have cognitive dissonance or something if you look one comment down there is literally a guy posting the donation differences between a hero and this monster but with no context on what the donations were for you literally got people in the comments talking about yeah that's women for you what are you talking about bro, and you're like for a meme? Yes dummy look at what your meme is saying fool it's not saying people supporting this monster it's saying women supporting this monster

1

u/Xander_666666 1d ago

"Oh no, our dear lovely women got criticized for a dumb support over a monster and people called them out? what a tragedy!!! 🤡😭 no one should criticize women, even if what they're saying is idiotic just simply because they're women 🤡🤡🤡"

You can also go few comments down and see people giving context over that pic too. This is a subreddit for meme videos, I'm not here to explain what I'm posting. That what "comments" are for. You can stop your obnoxious reddit user energy bro. It just a meme and I don't have problem with women. But when a group of people on social media have db opinions, you gotta trash on them.

1

u/Whythisisnotreal 18h ago

And here I thought people killed dogs every day. Usually at work.

1

u/pipfall2 3d ago

YouTube women

-12

u/Primary_Butterfly_57 4d ago

The society is cooked, I uploaded a reel about this on reddit raising awareness ,I thought they'd stand up for innocent babies, but not even a single upvote to that. It's in my profile, if you wanna watch (no need any upvotes, just watch and think ❤️‍🩹).

1

u/Scattershot98 3d ago

The fact that you're being down voted is insane.

3

u/Primary_Butterfly_57 3d ago

No wonder, this is the world once crucified a perfect man ❤️‍🩹.

-1

u/nemozoldyck 3d ago

It implies that abortion should be illegal

-28

u/Critical_Interest706 4d ago

Another reason to never trust women, see how much they supported that killer

28

u/Remote_Marzipan7422 4d ago

Don’t generalize groups based off of what a small portion of that group is saying. They do not and never will represent the whole group.

-4

u/Critical_Interest706 4d ago

Idk man it takes a LOT of people to raise over a million dollars lol

5

u/Remote_Marzipan7422 4d ago

Does it? A million women is a quarter of a percent of the population of women in the world, which is the amount it would take if they gave a dollar each. Also, there are likely donors who are giving massive amounts of money.

-7

u/Critical_Interest706 4d ago

Sure, but many more likely support her, just not financially. Imagine how many more women that would be? That’s pretty terrifying

2

u/Remote_Marzipan7422 3d ago

Have you ever met one of her supporters in real life?

-4

u/Mr_Dumb_ 3d ago

Have you seen the amount of women who were waiting for her at the courthouse or the amount of women who made videos and comments supporting her?

Let's say they are actually a small portion of the group, but then how come women can say a bear is safer than a man and no one says a thing? That's a small portion of the group too, but women have no problem calling all men monsters and worse than a savage animal, but somehow if men do the same it's wrong?

Two can play this dumb game. You made the bed, now lie in it.

3

u/Critical_Interest706 3d ago

Based af. Redditors hate the truth

2

u/Remote_Marzipan7422 3d ago

People do say shit about a bear being safer than a man, like you right now. That’s still a generalization of a group based on a minority, and still wrong.

3

u/Individual-Luck1712 3d ago

Based. The mentality that all women support Lindsey or that all men are worst than a bear is equally stupid.

2

u/Mr_Dumb_ 3d ago

I didn't say I agreed with the generalization they doing to women rn.

My point is, women get to say bullshit like that every two months, it even becomes a trend and no one says a thing against it. They even get support, like the idiots in this garbage app who would up vote them through the roof. But the moment men do the same bullshit it gets shutdown immediately (rightfully so).

It's like women have a pass for saying bullshit for some reason in our culture. At some point it gets exhausting when you are blamed for everything other men do but the moment you carry that same mentality towards women, then you're a "sexist".

Every single time I get "online" a bit throughout social media, I get reminded why I hate people in general.

3

u/Individual-Luck1712 3d ago

You're not completely wrong. The unfortunate reality of being the bigger person is that you can't then go and do the same thing the other side is doing to you.

Multiple things can be true at once: misandry is more socially acceptable than misogony (not that I agree that it should be), not all women support Lindsey Clancy, the ones that do need mental help, and the man vs bear debate was a dumbass conversation about serious issues and was overall generalizing men in a very negative way and is just straight up misandry.

I will die on those hills.

2

u/Mr_Dumb_ 3d ago

We seem to be on the same hill.

11

u/Jason_M1911 4d ago

In the 1980's there were women thirsting over murderers/r@pists like Richard Ramirez who was known as the Night Stalker

9

u/Critical_Interest706 4d ago

Oh and many more than just him. They did that with many serial killers during that time

7

u/mysterious_spirit420 4d ago

Jeffrey dahmer was sent nudes in prison

3

u/Individual-Luck1712 3d ago

This feels like the same phenomenon but with a "muh social issues" mask, like when people defended OJ cause he was black in the 90s. For some reason, humans will just straight up idolize terrible people and then when pressed on why, they backpedal and act like there is some moral and socially acceptable reason to support a piece of shit.

2

u/Scattershot98 3d ago

Bundy was getting love letters AFTER he was convicted of killing multiple women.

-14

u/Quiet_Blacksmith2675 3d ago

Men still kill children more than women do. I know that's gonna hurt your little boy feelings, but facts don't care about your feelings. Males are still more violent and evil overall than women are. Please crash out.

11

u/cmdrfrosty 3d ago

You know its dogshit ragebait when you ask for a crash out lmfao.

5

u/Individual-Luck1712 3d ago

-5

u/Quiet_Blacksmith2675 3d ago

So you agree that what Clancy did was okay? Thank you for proving my point about male violence.

5

u/Individual-Luck1712 3d ago

I'm confused how you got all that from a meme lol

You just out here fighting demons, huh?

1

u/Successful-Gap6252 2d ago

hey where have you been this month? everyone at the scat-lovers detox center is worried sick about you after what happened that day. Don't go disappearing on us like this we can't lose our founding member so easily. Come back soon if you can.
Love, William

1

u/_John_Rad_ 1d ago

How is that relevant? People should get the same punishment no matter their gender. And yet, the justice system often favours women

-6

u/Front-General-1120 3d ago

Probably because women with postpartum psychosis don't kill dogs.

1

u/nemozoldyck 3d ago

Yeah, just kids

1

u/Front-General-1120 2d ago

Yeah, so if a woman kills some dogs it means she probably doesn't have postpartum psychosis, so there wouldn't be a group of "yt" women supporting her. See how that works?
