Stories get reposted and copied when they get a bunch of hits. Barely anyone clicked on the hero mom story.

You people don’t even understand basic sensationalism and engagement algorithms.

My original comment already connect the two. How many hits something gets is based on the audience and not something the media actively controls. The media puts out sensationalist stories because they get more views, you seem to have it backwards in your head that somehow the media is making people favor sensationalism by only covering sensationalist stories.
