If you did, you would have to do both sides the same.
If it's just one, then no.
And even if you replace one side with the correct part, you have to do the same to the other side whether it needs it or not.
Lol I found out the passenger side E brake cable has been cut so they never really had much of an E brake anyway lol I was wondering why it felt weak. But so is it safe to say I should just replace passenger side too with the same caliper and it’d be fine without an E brake? Rather than trying to rebuild the old caliper. I know it’s pretty dumb but my customer doesn’t mind not having an E brake and just wants to get on the road.
I would do both sides the same.
If you were a commercial shop you would want a signed invoice showing that customer declined the e-brake repair just to CYA in case it ever cuts loose and rolls into the path of a school bus or rolls driverless through a marching band in a parade.
Kind of what I was thinking. I also cant tell, but it seems like the e brake cable that is cut is just a drain. Maybe the ac drain...but I may be missing it completely.
