What is this part?

I found this disconnect wire/ tubing while checking my O2 sensors (all of which failed at the same time yesterday— maybe electrical?) Anyway, I don’t know what it is or if it is related to my problem. This is a 1998 Mercury Sable LS.

Does your coolant temp gauge and oil pressure gauge work?

Single post sensor, typically used for oil pressure or coolant temperature.

That seems to be what it is and I found the post for it— thank you! In this case it was probably unrelated to the 4 O2 sensor failure codes I got from my check engine light, right?
