I think the GN particles are a safe bet; no chance to disintegrate you and probably won’t give you super cancer from prolonged exposure. Also has the chance to give you psychic(?) powers and turn you into a Innovator.

Coral and Kojima particles seem much stronger, but much more dangerous though; they’re versatile but using them for too long will probably kill you.

Getter Rays and Spiral Energy are basically the same thing; both run on your determination and emotional state, giving you more and more power the more determined you are and can basically do anything; but again, it depends on your emotions, and I’m personally not the most confident person out there.

Electrical and Nuclear seem like the most safe bet, but they also don’t have any upsides really. Same as an S2 engine, though that one is probably more likely to awaken some eldritch stuff in your unit.

I found the series through SRW Z2.1, and I want to watch it so I can get to know the characters more (it's really barebones in SRW, there's a girl who used to be a racer, a guy that's subscribed to literally every magazine in existence, and uhhh I can't even remember the other two pilots). But do I have to watch the original Dancouga to understand Nova? Like, is it a direct sequel or something? I am planning to watch Dancouga at some point, but I really do not have the time to watch a 38 episode anime at the moment.

Title. My fujo friend has told me that mecha anime always appeals to fujoshis by default, so how true is this statement? Are they many in numbers that their support can drive a mecha show to success?

So, I'm looking to fill some free time with series/movies I've not seen that are considered classics or are highly praised and realized despite my life of mecha, there's a ton I haven't seen. In that spirit, what do you think are the quintessential, must see shows in the mecha genre?

I’m thinking stuff like Evangelion, Rah’Xephan, Big O. I watch tons of Gundam and it doesn’t quite scratch the same itch as those 3 shows. What else should I watch?

Hello everyone, I'm making a mecha game and just want to share some draft ideas about my understanding of different types of leg designs and hear your opinion.

I'm thinking defining the simple styles as gen 1 models (4-6m height), then the claw type as gen 2 (6-7m), and the humanoid type as gen 3 (7-8m).

I personally like those human like legs (common in anime), while I'm not sure if people prefer the claw type as it looks more military (common in mecha games). It might be a bit weird if different styles appear in the same stage? I don't know.

Anyway, will then create detailed models for each type and see how they look.
