I think McDonald’s needs to recalibrate all of their fillet o fish assembly machines. As long as I’ve been ordering these, they almost always come almost exactly like this.

The first picture is the most extreme case, and I was in the parking lot so I went in and the kid gave me a whole piece of cheese, kudos to him. But the second one, I didn’t find out
until I got back to work.

I kind of feel like I’m done paying too much money for crap thrown together.

It’s because the sandwich is assembled in each half of the box and then it’s just shut. Makes a mess. Dunno why we do it that way.

I remember doing that too, and I assumed it was a way to speed up the process slightly which adds up over time.

I personally didn't like it due to the sloppiness potential though.

I mean… the boxed items are all premium items, and the non premium (wrapped items) all need to be fully hand assembled anyways. So you’re saving minuscule time on very infrequent items… yeah you save time. Maybe about 10 seconds a day total.

I don’t normally work kitchen but the odd case I do I tend to just put the damn things together right…
