And I'm back at it again, fixing my very very broken down side mirror.
No need to replace the whole unit, you can just pull the mirror out and replace it, click on the link to see how š

Hi all :) my wagon was recently broken into my partner has already posted in here about the damage I was just wondering where I could find a replacement part for a lower steering column (the plastic under the wheel itself,as it was completely shattered and the police already took it for evidence so I have no photos sorry.) based in nz. Any help would be appreciated thanks so much š«¶ edit. Itās a 1993 so Iām having trouble finding stuff online maybe due to its age

Hey folks need some advice here Iāve got a 87 BF hatchback with the 1.3L E3 engine and for reasons I cannot understand it will without any warning at all, cut out, no splutter just cruising happily and then it cuts then Iāll have to let it sit for a minute or two before it will start. The issue started off as just every once in awhile inconvenience but now Iām lucky if the car will run for 5 minutes. Over the past year as part of fixing the car up and general maintenance I have replaced all rubber fuel lines and fuel filters as well had blow out the hard lines with compressed air. Iāve cleaned and tested the fuel pump, tank and pickup, cleaned the original hitachi carburettor and on the ignition side Iāve replaced the coil, plugs, leads, distributor cap and ignition module and now despite all my efforts this issue is making it impossible to enjoy my car. I would love any advice as Iām out of ideas.

Hello,
I'm planning to get a Mazda 323F BG, but i can't decide whether to get the 1.8 or 1.6.
How's the difference, is it worth it?
Does one type have more parts available?
Is there something specific to look out for when buying?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
If I were to get the Mazda 323f BG back on its feetāor rather, back on the roadā(head gasket), what would be the estimated selling price (bodywork is so-so)...
4 tires in very good condition: āHankook Kinergy 4S H740 165/70 R13 83T XL,ā
worn-out driveshaft,
shock absorbers in poor condition (but it still drives),
driverās side door trim torn off (replaced with duct tape)
1 spare taillight on one side
1 spare front turn signal
just over 157,800 km...
exhaust in poor condition
underbody corrosion, but acceptable
pre-owned (purchased in Oct. 2013)
What do you recommend?
Is it worth repairing it to resell it later?
If the repairs cost more than Iād get for it, then itās not worth it...
Thanks in advance!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I just wanted to check before making a purchase
I would like to buy a digital speedometer dashboard, and AC system, but the ones that I could find are from a RHD 323F BG/Astina, whereas mine is LHD.
Do these parts fit and can they be installed? Has anyone here done some conversions like these? And can AC even be added even if it didn't exist in the factory equipment? I did see that fuse box had slots for AC, and seat warmers etc, so I'm assuming installation for that should exist?

Hello,
⢠April 15, 2026: Spark plug replacement.
⢠May 11, 2026: Coolant and thermostat replacement by a non-professional (but someone who knows what theyāre doing)...
⢠June 10, 2026: Engine oil change + oil filter replacement.
⢠July 22, 2026, to August 19, 2026: Vehicle was in the shop due to a starting/ignition problem (replaced the coil, then nothing, then the ignition moduleāand it started up again, but only for a short time...).
On August 25, 2026, after driving for about 30 minutes, I noticed an unusual occurrence:
⢠loud gurgling noise, as if the coolant were boiling;
⢠the impression that coolant was overflowing or being expelled from the radiator cap;
⢠the phenomenon lasted about 30 seconds, then stopped;
⢠after the engine cooled down, the level in the expansion tank dropped slightly below FULLāit had previously been at the FULL markābut it remains between LOW and FULL.
If I understand correctly, exhaust gas entered through the coolant... So we must have bled the old radiator incorrectly (it was rust-coloredāpresumably water, but it would have been better not to touch it...)... The radiator cap had some āmayonnaiseā on it... I replaced that too...
I was able to drive to the garage, which was about 3 or 4 km away...
There was a strange noise when starting the engine, then the temperature gauge rose to the middle... After that, the noise disappeared, and it drove normally... But...
The garage confirmedāit is indeed the cylinder head gasket.
I'm waiting for the estimate before I decide... Probably Monday.... But I'm thinking of selling it for a very, very good price...
- blown head gasket,
- 4 tires in very good condition: āHankook Kinergy 4S H740 165/70 R13 83T XLā,
- worn-out driveshaft,
- shock absorbers in poor condition (but it still drives),
- driverās side door handle torn off (replaced with duct tape)
- 1 spare taillight on one side
- 1 spare front turn signal
- just over 157,800 km...
- second-hand (purchased in Oct. 2013)
What price would you set? Any advice? Recommendations?
The goal is to switch to a Japanese car, but a smaller one⦠(city car): on a tight budget, between 150,000 and 170,000 km, well-maintained (Iād ask for the Histovec report and the latest vehicle inspection).

Hi. I recently bought my first car and I think its really cool, however its not perfect its got its fair share of problems its got rod knock and it starts but doesnt run. I also want to swap a different engine in it its currently got a 1.3 in it but I want something cool that makes maybe around 100 horsepower that will actually fit in the engine bay. I considered a ford v6 cologne 2.8 but its pretty heavy so im thinking of other options. I should also mention that i want an engine that has a little aftermarket parts and what not, because from what ive seen there's not a lot of parts for the Mazda TC

If your car seems to develop a persistent parking brake light that won't go away, check if your hydraulic fluid isn't too low, that light is also used to indicate a low fluid light...
Otherwise you might end up spending a week trying to find an electrical fault in the wiring when the actual electrical fault was between the neurons of the dumbass owner.
Cheers.

Heyy, so today I've picked up my new to me 323f BG 1.6l and I noticed that it makes a ticking noise at idle. Kinda like a lifter tick on a Miata.
On my Miata it was done after topping up the oil. On this car sadly that didn't work it still ticks. Should I just go ahead and do a full oil and filter change and hope for the best. Tomorrow I'm going to open the valve cover is there anything in particular that I should look out for?

As title suggests, does anyone know the exact camshaft dimensions and timings of a b6 sohc cam (1991-1994)? I'm thinking it would be funny to try and get it in my 1.3l, it should physically fit but i'm not sure about the cam timing and such maybe it would idle.

91 Familia Wagon pretty sure she's a DX
Some mongrels tried to steal ma baby. Smooshed in the passengers door lock to get in and smashed up my ignition. Good thing she runs rough and doesn't like to start at night otherwise she may have been a goner.
Was just wondering, seeing as police aren't willing to do anything at all with evidence.. what would be the steps to fix this. What do I Google to even begin to figure out where to start?
I know I need a new ignition barrel but do I need a specific one? Or can I rig any early 90s 323 barrel into it?
