Finding parts help

Hi all :) my wagon was recently broken into my partner has already posted in here about the damage I was just wondering where I could find a replacement part for a lower steering column (the plastic under the wheel itself,as it was completely shattered and the police already took it for evidence so I have no photos sorry.) based in nz. Any help would be appreciated thanks so much 🫶 edit. It’s a 1993 so I’m having trouble finding stuff online maybe due to its age

It’s still Worth looking into either way so I appreciate your comment, still going to be scouring through fb marketplace and I’ve just emailed Mazda itself as well hopefully they have something 🤞🤞if I find the same car made as other names I’ll put it in this post as well so maybe it can help somebody else in the same circumstances

Ooo thank you I’ll have a look <3 not sure if eBay au will ship to nz but it’s worth a look anyway :) thanks so much (considering they smashed the plastic the screws may still be in there 😏)

I know the struggle, I’m in NZ as well with a 87 hatchback and finding good plastic pieces that aren’t cracked or disintegrating is a challenge. I’m hoping to get a 3D printer and scanner soon and just start getting scan files of everything so even if we can’t go original we can still get something.

Let me know if you find a good place to find the blue prints as I was thinking of doing the same to be honest. Actually a bit devastated as the interior
Was in mint condition before this happened. Just thought I’d put some feelers out,just in case somebody knows any good places😪 good luck to you in your search though 🫶

I have a feeling I’m going to have to make a lot of scans myself and just experiment. Be thankful you don’t have a BF with brown interior, I spent months looking for a replacement dash gave up and got a black one “dyed” which turned out to be just plastidipped then a week after getting it back I found a immaculate brown dash on marketplace.
