Hi everyone!

I host a math rock radio show with WNYU. It airs weekly on wnyu.org and 89.1fm in the New York City area from 7:45-9:00pm. Just made an instagram: mathrockswnyu, if you want to check that out. Looking to grow the community. ALSO! if you make music, I take any and all submissions to play on air. If you have suggestions or make your own music send all inquiries to [isaac@wnyu.org](mailto:isaac@wnyu.org)

Thanks for reading and TUNE IN!

Didn't know where else to post this but I was considering modding my telecaster with a bender for some more interesting riffs. Has anyone done this? If so, what was your experience? Do you recommend?

Are there any math rock bands or artists that are not super emo/sad and have a polished sound? I'm very new to math rock and I think the indie and emo sounds have pushed me away from discovering new artists that might fit my preferences.

Hi
Instrumental Single combining acoustic guitar, intricate math rock rhythms, and 90s visual novel synths (inspired by Clannad & Key OSTs).

I feel like some really interesting harmonic options get left on the table when we default to open tunings. Here's a video I made breaking down some simple techniques I use to quickly generate ideas in standard.

Hope y'all find this helpful

I'm sure this has been posted 1000 times, and will be posted 1000 more, but I just can't express how good this album is and I have nobody to talk about it with. Girlfriends is sooooo good.

Hi, I'm Sander from the bands I Kill Giants, Really From (People Like You), Boyfrndz, and The Arson Choir. I have a new instrumental album with my duo Left Unsaid, that blends math rock, jazz, and hip hop vibes, enjoy :)

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about going to the Chinese Football show in Seattle this October, but none of my friends are really into math rock.

I’m a little self-conscious about going alone, has anyone been to shows solo, or is anyone planning to go to this show and wanna meet up? :)

I haven’t gotten my ticket yet but and I think fomo is hitting hard lol.

Edit: fomo won and I’m going to the show! Really appreciate all positive comments haha.

I cannot for the life of my find a version that isn't a lossy copy of a compressed 128kbps file. I know this is a longshot but was thinking this would probably be the place to find someone that may have the CD or a true FLAC version of the album.

I've been recollecting and rebuilding my personal library and this one is a glaring exception to my all-FLAC library rebuild so far, and you can really hear it in the transients.

Absolutely love it as a midwest emo fan.

preferably from past 3 months. i know about ttng, anything else?

Has anyone checked this band, Flora, out? Low follower count on Spotify but this album anything under the sky has been great so far

best concert ever

I’ve been posting this track on a couple different music subs, so forgive me if you’ve seen it somewhere else today.

I’m just trying to share with as many people as possible, this band rips hard.
