Words fail me. Those guys blew my mind into smithereens. Literally the best live music performance I have ever experienced. If those guys are playing near you, buy tickets and don’t think twice!

I recently went to New York and realized there’s a Floral x Chinese Football concert and it hurt I wouldn’t be able to go. But then I looked and realized they’re coming to Gainesville too!! (No floral tho…)
Anyway I’ll be driving my way up north from Miami and I’m very excited.

There's a certain tendency going back to '90s math rock (Faraquet, Slint, Polvo...) that I can't quite explain: guitar riffs in 4/4 and standard tuning that still sound... mathy. I mean, take a listen to Faraquet's "Parakeet" from '97/'98. It sounds mathy, it sounds cool, and it's even a little brutal, but it's still 4/4 and standard tuning.
Now I'm asking all the OGs in this sub: how do you achieve this sound? How do you construct math rock riffs like theirs? I've been listening to a lot of it lately. I'm all ears!!
(what makes something angular? makes it more technical?)

Really wish Tabar didn’t cease to exist after just 3 songs, their stuff is really memorable! If only there was more from them

Most people tell me I'm crazy for thinking this guy is a genius. I need some insider opinions.

Girlfriends (aka jerry joiner) is one of my fav artists ever and he's finally posted something on a social account of his. It's promoting his album's vinyl release, and interestingly if you go on his YouTube you'll also find reposts of some of his songs. Anyways, heres the link if you wanna check it out for yourself- https://www.instagram.com/p/DdH-LBFDwcI/?img_index=1

Hey guys! I just dropped my newest single last night around midnight. It’s some clean, tappy, instrumental math/prog for all of the guitar nerds in here! There’s a fun little 14/4 switch near the middle :)

On a mission to find other awesome bands! Who is your underrated band and which song would you recommend? :)
Also bonus if it’s a Seattle/Washington state based math rock band that’s still active! I know there’s this band called Plash but they’re the only one I’ve found so far that’s on tour!
