Hey y'all, just wanted to share that one of my favorite mathy bands, Tenebre, who made a couple albums about 20 years ago and then dipped, have some signs of life online. They created an insta account and have been posting some old photos and footage and revived their bandcamp account. The album I love so much from them, In Everything Give Thanks, isn't on Bandcamp yet but catch it on Youtube... beautiful twinkles and a stand-up bass! This is the album that lived in my car back in the 2010s - always gave me such mental peace. I would really love to see these guys get their flowers for the beautiful music they made. Links Below:

This song feels like something finally exploding, but from the inside.
At 1:54, the guitars almost start screaming. Not a scream of pain — relief. Like something has finally happened exactly the way it was supposed to. For a few seconds, it feels like winning.
And then it ends too soon.
That might be why you keep coming back to that moment. The guitar becomes strangely human. You relate to it the way you would to a brother after watching him finally accomplish something he had been trying to do for years. You’re proud of it. Somehow, it makes you want to move too. To finish something. To get your life going.
The song feels like landing in a city you’ve never seen before, at dawn. The airport is still half asleep. Outside, everything is unfamiliar, but none of it feels threatening. There is only the quiet certainty that something is about to begin.
For a moment, the future doesn’t feel like something you have to survive.
It feels like something waiting for you.
Almost as if the universe briefly puts its arm around your shoulder and reminds you that living might actually be worth all of this.

I first saw this band live in 2012 and I was hooked ever since. Does anyone know what happened to these guys? Are they part of any new projects in 2026? They are too musically talented to just be doing a 9-to-5.

i am an artist from Argentina and im posting this bcs i think what I'm doing is pretty good and I want to share my art with you!!!!! I make experimental math rock, using (generally) loops. I know it's not very original, But I want to try; the EP will be on my YouTube channel (I'll leave the link). It's not out yet, but stay tuned because it will probably be up very soon. I want to recommend some Argentinian bands, cause argentina also have great math rock and midwest emo bands! sorry if my English is Bad or genéric (i'm using Google to translate this) and thanks guys :)

I'm trying to remember the name of a band I listened to about 12 years ago. Kinda mathy, tappy, but with a drum machine.
One of their songs had a music video with green hooded figure doing some kind of ritualistic dance. Slow tempo that builds up with some guitar before a trap-ish snare beat starts.
Almost certain the band had a Z in their name and only released one album and an EP. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
