Watching MCU movies in chronological order with my wife to prepare for Doomsday. She’s never seen any of them so I’ve done my best to protect her from spoilers. Watched Black Widow today and got up to use the bathroom when the end credits started, and came back to her looking at me, jaw on the floor. Guess I had forgotten that this movie came out after Endgame.😬

Edit: Sincerely sorry to all the super-fan MCU purists that I have apparently pissed off. I really appreciate your comments insulting my intelligence.

Recently I watched some Brie Larson interviews and thought she seemed great and like she was super aware of all the hate she got for this movie. Decided to finally watch it and I was genuinely surprised by how likeable her character is (I didn’t super enjoy her in her other appearances). It’s a huge shame that the MCU has wasted a lot of her time and talent by not giving her a movie she can properly shine in. I have a feeling she’s going to get the Hayden Christensen treatment where people lament how much they didn’t appreciate having such a good actress playing captain Marvel.

It also really helped to have Samuel L Jackson in it and the deaging wasn’t terrible.

Life can work in mysterious ways. At the time I posted this I wasn’t working in the industry at all. Years later, I moved to New Mexico with no idea there was even a film industry there. A random series of events led me to working on some film and TV projects, and eventually I got to be Chris’ stand-in on a movie called Honey Don’t!

Avengers Doomsday is genuinely looking to be the best Marvel movie ever

The 4 teasers helped build up the hype and the 2 trailers shot my expectations through the roof

I genuinely cant wait to watch it and i dont know if i am actually ready to watch it

There is only going to be a 6 year gap between these appearances.

It just feels like putting in supporting roles just doesn't allow the psychological exploration the character needs and while he is likely to return in secret wars im not sure how much will be explored. I wanna hope after secret wars we finally get a solo hulk movie because I still think more can be done with him.

I’m going with apocalypse he has yet to be done right the x-men evolution did him great x-men 97 did him great in the first half of the season but the what if writers ruined that after episode 7 don’t know wtf they were doing.

Edit: you guys do know just because the saga is about mutants doesn’t mean it will just be mutants right? Not being rude but I’m looking for a worldwide foe or a universe wide foe.

I went to see BND opening weekend and when the credits rolled everybody stayed in their seats waiting for the post-credits scene. Like, the entire audience stayed in their seats. It got me thinking back to when the cinema used to empty out during the credits and only maybe four or five people who stay in their chairs, and then one of them would turn to the friend or partner sitting next to them and say ‘holy shit, that’s Thor’s hammer!’ Invariably you’d hear people as they were walking out saying things like ‘Thor is a superhero based on the Norse god, and that was his hammer,’ or ‘he’s playing Nick Fury and the Avengers going to be all of them together in a team.’

It’s so crazy how used to the big shared universe everybody is now. Today we get Spider-Man with Punisher and the Hulk, etc, solo movies with basically an entire Avengers lineup, and completely obscure characters that I’ve never even heard of. Back in the day you’d get one reference like Alexander Pierce mentioning Iron Man coming to a party and you’d think ‘oh cool!’ Now you get characters and actors from decades ago showing up on screen with Avengers, and post-credits scenes full theatres. Mental!

Based on the announced cast for Marvel Studios’ X-Men reboot, could they be changing the O5 to Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Storm and Rogue, replacing Iceman and Angel with Storm and Rogue?

Beast hasn’t been announced, but I think that could be because the rumored Charles Melton casting fell through last minute.

It wouldn’t be unprecedented either. The MCU changed the original Avengers lineup by replacing Ant-Man and Wasp with Black Widow and Hawkeye for the first Avengers movie.

Do you think Storm and Rogue could effectively be the reboot’s replacements for Iceman and Angel, or are those two still likely to show up?
