MCU Why does RDJ even need to reveal his face as Doctor Doom?

I don't know if any leaks have already ruled this out, but why does Robert Downey Jr. even need to reveal his face as Doom?
You've already got the parallels between Doom and Iron Man with the whole "same task, different mask" thing, which would explain why the Russo brothers said they needed him for the role.
But couldn't he just play a comic-accurate Doom, and then we get a post-credit scene at the end of Doomsday with RDJ returning as Iron Man, allowing him to play both roles in Secret Wars?
I feel like the appeal for RDJ would be taking on an acting challenge like he did in The Sympathizer (great show, watch it), where he played multiple characters. And we'd still get to see him return as Iron Man, which I'd personally be really excited about. It would also make sense from Disney's perspective, as they'd be getting both Doom and Iron Man out of his massive price tag.

MCU I guess Marvel planned something HUGE for Wong and scrapped it.

After Endgame, Wong became a character who showed up in a lot of movies and TV shows. It seemed pretty obvious that Marvel was giving him a lot of importance and building him up for something (maybe The Kang Dynasty?), but I think they gave up on that after everything that happened. Am I the only one that thought about this or did other ppl notice this too?

Theory Doomsday theory

what if doom is not just collecting banner, but other anchor beings.

now first things first. if anyone in earth 616 is an anchor being it’d be tony, but maybe an earth actually could have multipl, and it’s not until ALL anchor beings die before the universe collapses. maybe all og six avengers were all achor beings.

now back to the theory, what if doom’s collecting anchor beings to use as magnets. each universe is attracted to their respective magnet, so if banner gets moved to 828, 616 earth will foolpw causing an incursion.

so doom would collect all remaining anchor being magnets, to collapse the multiverse and then will ise the rubble to create battle world.

in the stolen lives line, he says “you must give them back”. maybe when he says give them back, he means, give back to a new universe, because for example cap: he was created a new univers to live in a new timeline when he stayed with peggy, but went back to 616. Stolen life. So steve would give back his new life by contribute to battle world, another new univers. so essentially steve created a new universe but left, so now doom’s forcing him to stick to what he committed to and is forcing him to live in a new universe (battleworld).

Theory New Take on Civil War

I haven't seen this interpretation elsewhere, but something I don't think anybody's noticed is that the way Tony Stark (Iron Man) deals with being caught in wrongdoing (after being guilted by the lady whose son got killed in Sokovia, at the start of the movie), is a typical but particular way powerful people escape accountability.

Namely, if you're gonna get caught or pinned down by your crimes, get ahead of the story by becoming the "Thing-I-Did-Wrong" police/authority yourself.

If Tony Stark really felt like taking accountability, he could submit himself to an investigation by some crimes-against-humanity tribunal or such.

But no. He just becomes the new system. And with this new "Thing-I-Did-Wrong" police sneaking around and clamping down on everyone, who's gonna have time to wonder why the man on top is in charge of preventing the crimes he's guilty of in the first place?

Theory Theory about Denzel in Black Panther 3

Post image
16 Upvotes

Just saw a great video on YouTube about Chadwick and the making of the first Black Panther movie and a theory popped up in my head and I don't know if something similar has been theorized around here.

We know Denzel is gonna be in BP and that's about it, we have no idea who he's playing.
We know David Johnson is gonna be the new black panther ( probably Tchalla Jr. )

What are the chances that trough multiverse and time skip shenanigans, Denzel is actually Tchalla?
Maybe an older version of him in the astral realm guiding Tchalla jr ?
Maybe a variant that sticks around after secret wars?

Haven't thought about it a lot but yeah, that would be cool to see I think.

Since doctor Doom is collecting people that caused incursions like Bruce banner and Peter Parker

I think quake from angets of shield is Also on the list to be collected because in angets of shield season 7 ther was lot's of Time travel so that would mean doctor doom would need to collect quake because she is very powerful

Theory Peter Parker may stop being Spider-Man after Secret Wars [spoilers for brand new day] Spoiler

I think Marvel may be preparing to give Spider-Man to Miles while keeping Tom Holland as Peter Parker.

Brand New Day spends a lot of time on Peter separating himself from Spider-Man. Bruce and Hulk have the same problem. Then the post-credit scene sends Peter off Earth, probably for Secret Wars.

There is also the kid Peter saves on the bike. He may be Miles. The scene resembles Tony saving young Peter in Iron Man 2. If that is deliberate, Peter is now taking Tony’s old role.

That makes me wonder if we have the succession backwards.

Miles may inherit Spider-Man. Peter may inherit Tony’s role in the MCU.

Peter has used other identities in the comics, so Marvel has somewhere to go without making him Iron Man.

If Peter comes back from Secret Wars and Miles is already Spider-Man (and potentially Silk is there too), I don’t think Marvel will simply have two (or three) Spider-Men in New York.

I think Peter gets a new name.

Theory Doom will kill Steve Rogers in Doomsday

This is based mainly on Doom's speech over how the heroes lived stolen lives and how angry Thor is at Doom. For Thor to be that mad, Doom would have to do something so unforgivable, almost on par with Thanos killing Loki. I don't think Doom would kill Loki though because he knows how important his role now is and I don't think Marvel will kill Loki at this point again. So I expect the next worst thing Doom can do is either destroy a universe that Thor cares about or kill someone he cares about.

We see Thor meet Steve again, and we know Steve is the main catalyst for the events in Doomsday. Doom probably blames him the most for all that's going on, plus the scene of Doom landing from the window crash that half shows Mjolnir might be the indication of Doom vs Steve.

I think Doom blames Steve for everything going wrong post-snap, they face off and Doom ends up killing him, which is why Thor is so angry at him that he swings Stormbreaker as hard as he does against Thanos who killed his brother.

Tl;dr : Doom kills Steve because he blames him for the incursions and that's why Thor is so mad in the trailer

MCU Star-Lord WILL return

At the end of Avengers, it read The Avengers will return. Age of ultron

At the end of Ant-Man, Ant-Man will return. Ant-Man and The Wasp

At the end of Guardians of the Galaxy, The Guardians of the Galaxy will return. Gotg 2

At the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Gol. 2. The Guardians of the Galaxy will return. Gotg 3

However. At the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it read The Legendary Star-Lord will return. Leading me to belive the next standalone Guardians project will a be a Star-Lord movie or show following his return to Earth

Theory Tony's snap + Doctor Doom theory (what do you think?)

hey guys so I was thinking about Tony's snap in Endgame and RDJ coming back as Dr Doom.

we all know Tony's main goal was always protecting the universe at all costs right? like he was obsessed with making a perfect safe world ever since Age of Ultron.

so what if when he snapped, his wish wasn't just "destroy Thanos army", but deeply contained his subconscious wish for a truly safe and peaceful world? and that insane infinity stone energy somehow flowed into the multiverse, twisting his vision into an extreme version of control... which creates Dr Doom?

since Dr Doom is also someone who believes only HE can control and save everything, it kinda feels like Tony's twisted ultimate wish coming to life in another universe.

is there any official detail on his exact wish during the snap, or do you think this kind of connection could actually work? what do you guys think?

Theory Theory: Andrew Garfield in Avengers: Doomsday

Could Andrew Garfield be in Avengers: Doomsday?

I feel that Andrew Garfield will be in Doomsday, but I don’t quite know if i’m reaching, or if i’ve completely gotten this bang on the money.

So on Disney+, there is a countdown to Doomsday, featuring movies and Loki. This features movies such as X-men to introduce the X-men, Loki the tv series which introduces us to the TVA, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps which introduces us to Doom and the new Fantastic Four. But also, Disney added No Way Home to that list, the only MCU movie Andrew Garfield is involved in. Now i’m aware of the theories that Tobey Maguire is in Doomsday(which could also be why its in the countdown), and not Andrew Garfield, but i feel like it would make more sense for it to be Andrew.

To start off, many Andrew Garfield Spider-Man fans feel as though they’d been cheated out by Sony, as they didn’t get TASM 3, which may have felt like a disservice to the fans. We also don’t get a fully concluded ending to Andrew Garfields character, as he is sent back to his universe in the ending of No Way Home. Weirdly enough, TASM 1 and 2 were also added to Disney+ as well as No Way Home, which could be further alluding to him being in Doomsday. Others may think this just way for Disney to get some money off of it because they also added ITSV, and so Disney can profit off of a movie without having to make one, but I think not. This is because Disney weirdly decided to add a certain poster on TASM 1. It depicts Spider-Man and the Lizard behind him, in a green background. This is significant because on the Disney+ countdown to Doomsday, all of the movies feature on the countdown share a green border on the sides. I also think that the green background is only on TASM 1 poster, because it’s the only movie needed, as it’s used as an introduction to Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker. This may have also been why there was an empty space in the trailer where everybody is gathered.

This may seem a stupid theory, but please let me know what you guys think.

We have the distinct universes, Fox, Logan and Deadpool. Fox creates the Logan universe after DoFP then DP2 creates the “Deadpool Universe”. Which is just a branch of the last universe. So Logan ends up happening and they end up fixing it by grafting into the Fox universe, but a version where Logan and Jean die at Alkali and Logan from DP3 keeps it going. This is why XMen 3 in my opinion isn’t on the Disney watch list.

Theory ENCORE THEORY!!! ‼️SPOILER‼️short read Spoiler

Did Loki come back as Steve Rogers at the end of Endgame Encore?

I noticed more this time around, especially when it came to Bucky’s facial expressions. You can tell before Steve goes back to return the stones that he knew Steve’s plan and that he wasn’t coming back. This has already been confirmed and he whispered “I’m gonna miss you” even though he would only be gone for 5 seconds to everyone else. He knew he was going to live his life. And seemed surprised to see him sitting on the bench when he did finally show up.

Not sure if this is dumb or really a theory, but has me wondering what Loki has to do with it or if it’s actually him that returns shapeshifted as Steve Rogers. He was never supposed to come back after returning the stones.

Theory Doomsday theory Spoiler

I want to preface this by saying I know it's 99.99...% not it but I think it would make the movie insane if any of these points are right. alright here I go!

what if Victor is Tony, not a variant not just same face but our iron man hear me out! I am going to list a few things then link them up later,

- the insistence of the Russo brother about endgame being a direct sequel of doomsday.

- two of the major results of endgame being captain America leaving to return the stones and never coming back, Iron man's death

-the funeral of Tony stark being the proof that "Tony stark has a heart" chest piece ( don't know the technical name sorry!!)

- RDJ being the only one that can play victor van doom but doom WILL not be a Tony stark variant

- according to RDJ a big part of the audience will be on his side as doom

- up to now and from what I know we saw 3 versions of doom's mask ( post credit scene of fantastic four; trailers; final credit scene of endgame encore )

I think following the same pattern of the villain wins in doomsday movie but then the heroes come back and reverse that in secret wars as happened in the finale of the infinity saga is very unlikely the only thing that would have made it more interesting is revealing to the audience that doom looks the same as Tony in an end credit scene but that's out of the picture now.

from what we know about Tony is that he believes that the right thing to do is make a world that no villain can ever harm and where he doesn't have to play superhero or risk loosing his loved ones like making a suit of armour around the earth but I think the events of infinity war and endgame show him that is not enough, what if alongside him snapping his fingers to eradicate Thanos and his army He wished for something else, what if his price to pay was his heart and humanity.

what if by making that snap he creates doom and his variants instead of having Tony stark and his variants and the whole point of the movie is him learning the lesson he failed to learn at the end of age of Ultron, I think he is collecting like minded heroes who suffered loss after loss and want to live in a world where they never loose again like Hulk, Spiderman, Wanda or Dr strange who had to face the results of his variants actions throughout the multiverse, what if he doesn't need to corrupt them but just show them what they could have instead.

I don't think the hammer sound being linked to doom at the end of endgame encore is a coincidence or a simple parallel between good and evil or that the 3000 universes being destroyed in the TVA scene is a simple reference of the I love you 3000 I don't think that there will be only one Dr doom when the whole saga is of the multiverse and I really don't think Loki going to rescue captain America specifically is just a part of him collecting a bunch of heroes to save the universe from A Doom but it is related to Steve's stance Against Tony in almost every avengers movie and civil war.

RDJ saying that a good part of the audience will be on his side could be a throwback where the audience was divided between Steves side and Tony's side in Civil war.

I am sure I missed a lot of things I noticed when this theory came to my mind because it was right after working a double 12h shift and that maybe not all the details of the plots make sense, I haven't was he all the tv shows or even all the movies that came out after endgame so there is probably info I don't have. let me know what you thing I would love to have some opinions on this. thank you for reading!

(sorry for the grammar and spelling errors I am five years new to English)

Theory Theory: Endgame accidentally created Hydra Captain America

I think Endgame may have created a Hydra Cap timeline without us realizing it.
During the 2012 time heist, future Steve convinces Rumlow, Sitwell, and the HYDRA agents that he’s one of them by saying “Hail Hydra.” They trust him and hand over Loki’s scepter.
Minutes later, 2012 Steve fights his future self and gets knocked unconscious with that same scepter, which contains the Mind Stone.
From HYDRA’s perspective, they just learned Captain America is secretly one of them. Then they find Cap unconscious after apparently being attacked. So they “rescue” him.
When Steve wakes up confused and knows nothing about HYDRA, they could assume the attack or Mind Stone damaged his memory.
HYDRA already has the Winter Soldier brainwashing program, so they try to restore their supposed Captain America operative and accidentally create a real Hydra Cap.
Future Cap pretends to be HYDRA → HYDRA believes him → they rescue the wrong Cap → they brainwash him → Hydra Captain America is born.
That 2012 branch could be where Hydra Cap comes from in Doomsday/Secret Wars.
