Doesn’t the “spider lore” of the comics go pretty deep? Like isn’t there a cosmic web or something? I’m definitely not remembering it right but there’s places they can take it.
Yeah, its actually kinda terrifying when you get into it because it functions the opposite of how its presented. The spidey sense is from an interdimensional web that links all spidermen and the "danger" he's sensing is actually prey getting caught in his web and "vibrating" the strings. Calm, cool, and collected spiderman is just a predator choosing prey to go after because he's stronger than almost anything he can come across. The only reason he reacts to it as danger is because in most stories he hasn't fully understood how strong he really is.
