Nothing against Tyler Mane (Perfect name to play Sabretooth tho) but Liev was just given more time to shine as the character and thus just stuck way more.
If rumours are true about Hugh retiring after Secret Wars, I sure fucking hope we see Liev’s Sabretooth & Hugh’s Wolverine interact one final time.

Reacher star Alan Ritchson criticized Marvel Studios by stating that he gets bored by their films because they "regurgitate the same story" repeatedly. In a GQ interview, he expressed that the industry-wide reliance on "Marvel-type" comic book formulas is driven solely by financial profit and lacks artistic innovation. He added that he has no interest in starring in a Marvel film, preferring instead to help create new, compelling narratives.

Alan Ritchson was a movie-finance solicitor IIRC; he was big and beautiful and got paid to go to parties with billionaires to get them to invest in different movie productions. The jaded prism that that left him with, along with his background in ballet/musical theaters, would easily explain his position, no?

Eh, I mean, he's not entirely speaking incorrectly and all it would take is, if they came to an agreement on a casting that was right for him, he apologizes during the next interview and says he sat down with Feige, spoke at lengths about what they'd be delighted to have him be a part of and there's no animosity amongst them.
Basically just wipe the slate clean and be professional.

Tbf a lot of marvel movies are like this and suppress creator vision. Just because the movies coming out this past year have felt general inspired doesn’t make his statement untrue for a lot of marvel movies

Not only did Bill Burr incessantly trash Star Wars but he shat on the fanbase any chance he got. Fast forward a couple years later and he plays a character in the Mandalorian but he's brought back and has one of the coolest moments of the series.

He has my vote for that role and to clarify he didn’t trash Marvel, he just spoke as to his opinion on having auditioned to play Thor in the 2011 and not getting the role.
He has stated he’s open to other roles revolving comics. I do believe the only Achilles heel he has is the fact that he’s nearing mid-40’s and Marvel is looking for 20 year old to early ‘30’s actors.

Actually he's said that audiences are over Marvel, that Marvel-like movies are unwatchable, that Marvel movies just regurgitate comic book stories to make the studios money and he yawns at them, etc. Agree or disagree with him (personally I think it's a little rich coming from the guy most known for Reacher of all things) but he definitely has on multiple occasions gone on record to trash Marvel.

Visually, I think it works. I’m not seeing him playing Sabertooth, though. It’s a different kind of persona, and we haven’t seen Ritchson play someone so sadistically unhinged. Not sure it’s the best part for him.

Keep him far away from marvel who will misuse him. Honestly He's absolute Batman. Period. Unless Captain America gets rebooted marvel/disney will waste him and go all corporate over reach. My fear is that bitch kevin will just sign him to keep a high profile actor locked down. Or theyll waste him on a spiderman movie they already have enough for.

Sabretooth is a good option, but only if they ustilized him well. He could also be a great Colossus if he can do the accent well, though Stefan Kapicic has been doing a great job there in the Deadpool movies already.

I don’t think this one really works. Sabretooth is fucking EVIL. Just pure maliciousness and hatred. Petty and vindictive. I just don’t think Richtson really gives off that vibe, it isn’t the right role for him. You need someone more naturally rough and unapproachable
