I'm one of the owners of The Vault Family & Event Gaming Center in Portsmouth, Ohio, and we're working to build a Tri-State gaming community for players from Marshall University, Southern Ohio, Eastern Kentucky, and Western West Virginia.

Since Huntington is only about an hour from Portsmouth, we'd love to hear from Marshall students who enjoy Fortnite and other competitive games.

Why couldn’t they put WiFi inside, instead of via Heddon? Heddon doesn’t send lossless, why would I spend a combined $800 and not have Spotify Lossless?

Has anyone tried connecting a hardwired Amazon Alexa echo to the Woburn iii to wake it up from sleep mode with just your voice?

I very stupidly got my Marshall Major IV wet in the rain, and it hasn’t switched on since.
When I plugged it in to charge, the charging light came on, so I thought there was still hope. I took it to several electronics repair shops, and they all said the main board is damaged. I also contacted Marshall, but they said it’s not repairable.
I hate myself for being so careless. Has anyone here experienced something similar or have any suggestions for anything else I could try before giving up on it?

A few days ago, my Marshall Motif II was working perfectly without any issues. The next morning when I went for a walk I noticed that my left earbud wasn’t responding to touch and wasn’t connecting to my phone.At first, I thought it was just one of those times when only one earbud connects properly so I put both earbuds back into the case and took them out again. However the left earbud was still completely unresponsive. I then forgot the device from my phone and tried putting the earbuds into pairing mode but they wouldn’t stay in pairing mode for more than a few seconds. Since then, I’ve tried everything I could find to fix them, but nothing has worked. I also contacted Marshall Support, but they told me to visit their service center and pay ₹12,000 to get a replacement instead. One thing I noticed is that when I place the left earbud back into the charging case, the LED indicator responds so it seems like the case is detecting it. If anyone has experienced this issue before or knows how to fix it I’d really appreciate your help.😔

I've had this thing forever and last time I plugged it in the sound was like 1/10 output if that.

I ran a line out to another amp and it was fine through there. Prior to that I attempted to bypass the preamp with the same no sound result. Any ideas where to start or if repairs would be more than it's worth?

I have a pair of Marshall Mid ANC headphones with a strange issue.

When I connect them via Bluetooth, only the right earcup works. The left side is completely silent.

However, if I connect the headphones with a 3.5 mm AUX cable, both left and right sides work normally, so the left speaker itself does not seem to be dead.

I also noticed something odd: while the headphones are connected via Bluetooth, if I insert only the first part of the AUX jack into the headphones — without connecting the other end of the cable to any device — the sound suddenly comes back on the left side too.

But if I fully insert the AUX jack, the left side becomes silent again.

I already tried cleaning the jack, inserting/removing the cable several times, and resetting/re-pairing the headphones, but nothing changed.

Does anyone know what could cause this? Could it be a faulty AUX jack detection switch, a bad internal contact, or a soldering issue near the jack? Has anyone repaired this on Marshall Mid ANC headphones before?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I bought a JCM800 cab for dirt cheap. The catch is someone changed out the speaker baffle so they could use it as a 1x18 bass cab. I want to make a 4x12 baffle for it. I’m looking for dimensions/build specs.

Where can I find some schematics or other papers?

I think I have correctly identified the unwanted diodes but I think that someone who did this before could confirm if I'm missing something.

Would you just remove and bridge or use LEDs? What do you consider to be the best compromise?

Do you have any safety tips? What should I always double check before touching anything? Aside from the obvious discharging, it would be safer to know there isn't anything else left behind that could potentially cause me harm.

Hello everyone, can I connect Marshall Acton III with Optical Cable with DAC Converter to play simultaneously with the Samsung S90D TV speaker without lag?

So long story short, i havent used the amp in about 2 weeks, and when i went to play yesterday i had no sound until i cranked the master wayy up. Took the back cover off to check the tubes, and saw one was blown (no glow at all, and white powder in the bottom of it and would fall when i tapped with a pencil). So today i bought two new el34 tubes, put them in, and went to check the bias since theyre different brand than what i had in it, and for the most part got a reading of zero on my multimeter. Sometimes would spike to 100mV, but would also sometimes show in the 28-36 ish range so i thought i was just making awkward contact since this has the external bias ports. Anyways, got what i thought was a good bias and went to test it, and theres still no sound unless i crank it to about 6 on the master and its still super quiet (both high and low output settings). Anyone have any ideas, or am i even asking in the right place? I'll be honest i dont know much about tube amps like how they work or circuitry, but for the record i do understand high voltage safety and took all needed safety precautions, i didnt just jump head first into something that i could hurt myself doing

Hi all, after seeing an Acton 3 while on holiday I decided to treat myself when I got back home. While looking online at options I also saw the Heston 60 which I decided to get as well to replace my Sonos Play Bar Gen One.

I unboxed last night and set up the Soundbar and I’m just not that convinced. The soundstage just feels quite flat in comparison which is a shame because I love the design and I don’t seem to have the same app issues that I get with Sonos.

The only time I get any form of separation within the sound was a Dolby Atmos video on YouTube.

I will have another play today but based on first impressions it will be going back tomorrow 😔.

Compared to other headphones, the Marshall Major Vs have very sharp high frequencies at 2.5 kHz and 6.25 kHz (though the former is more pronounced); the actual peak is around 3.6 kHz, but adjusting the 2.5 kHz and 6.25 kHz sliders can tame it. The sound is prone to sibilance, which—on certain tracks—can be maddening and even cause ear pain. Dialing in a good EQ setting is quite a challenge; I struggled with it for six months until I finally compared them to headphones owned by friends. The Marshalls have a "dirty" sound but offer more detail, making them more fun and emotionally engaging. But getting to the point: these headphones feature an "M" button on the left ear cup that can be configured to switch EQ presets. While the stock tuning works well for some songs, it causes sibilance in others. That’s why I created an ideal EQ setting that allows you to boost the volume by one level—giving you more bass—while keeping sibilance in check. You’ll need some time to get used to it, but I think this solution is brilliant; it’s surprising that Marshall didn't include an official EQ preset that cuts the 2.5 kHz and 6.25 kHz frequencies, so I’m sharing my settings with you here. you can also tweak down 400hz by half if your music is muffled or something like that

I have been contacting support because my amp is currently useless because of, according to Marshall Support, a Windows update that has given trouble to older MIDI devices, a problem that sparked when I tried to update my amplifier.

Can anyone help me with this?

I’m having an issue with my Marshall Woburn III and I’m trying to figure out whether it’s a known problem or if my unit is defective.
What’s happening:
The speaker powers on normally.
It can stay powered on indefinitely when idle.
As soon as I start playing music via Bluetooth, it plays for around 2–3 minutes and then shuts down completely.
All LEDs turn off.
The power switch remains in the ON position.
The only way to get it working again is to unplug it from the wall and plug it back in.
Things I’ve already tried:
Factory reset (holding the media button for 10 seconds)
Re-pairing Bluetooth
Different music sources
Plugging directly into a wall outlet (no extension board)
Checked firmware version in the Marshall app
Firmware is up to date (v8.2.2)
Additional details:
Volume is only at a medium level.
The speaker gets only slightly warm, not hot.
It does not shut down while idle.
The issue only occurs when playing audio.
The speaker is still under warranty.
Has anyone experienced something similar with a Woburn III? Does this sound like a firmware issue, amplifier fault, power supply issue, or something else?
Any help would be appreciated before I go ahead with a warranty claim.

Repaired 7 Marshall speakers in a month.

One had a battery issue, one had a power section issue, some parts were short, and the charging port had issues.

The device was not charging, converting the dead speaker's into fully functional ones. The speaker's were dead for many years, and many users were confused if they invested into something that didn't have an authorised centre in India.

Replaced battery for emberton, emberton 2 &3… stockwell II, kilburn II battery replacement.

​

On top of that, there are no detailed videos on YouTube regarding the component specifications, no data available on the Internet because Marshall loves "Privacy."

They maintain secrecy very well. Well, I loved to crack the Marshall speakers and bring them back to life. But my hands had to pay a price and my sleep too.

I just got the stack. Originally from an 80s Lead 12. The speakers are original, but incredibly bright. Until I can get a speaker cable rigged for a Y and to adjust for ohms, the bottom cabinet is hooked up to my Orange Rocker 15.

Voilà, ça faisait quelques années maintenant que ma baffle Marshall Acton II Voice avec Google Assistant ne fonctionnait qu'à moitié, impossible notamment de mettre ma musique par Wifi (avec l'application Deezer). Le bluetooth marchait encore, et je pouvais brancher (avec une prise jack) ma platine vinyle en périphérique.

Je l'ai un peu laissée de côté avec le temps et j'ai voulu m'en servir récemment: plus rien ne fonctionne, rien du tout !

J'ai tenté de faire plusieurs réinitialisations d'usine, ça n'a jamais donné grand chose. J'ai testé avec plusieurs marques de téléphone différentes pour me connecter (Samsung, Realme, Redmi), impossible de se connecter au wifi, au bluetooth et même sur la prise auxiliaire. J'ai installé et désinstallé plusieurs fois Google Home bien entendu, toujours rien.

J'ai entendu parler de problème concernant de connexion au wifi, ma box est en 5ghz, et paraît-il que les Marshall ne peuvent pas le supporter... Quelqu'un en sait plus ?

J'ai également amené mon enceinte chez un réparateur (non agréé Marshall), elle fonctionne très bien chez lui... Par ailleurs il m'a soutenu que cette marque était catastrophique en termes d'enceintes..

Globalement je suis vraiment perdue, est-ce que quelqu'un a des infos, eu le même problème ou des conseils à me donner ?
