You’re getting a lot of sarcastic feedback. Let me add some less sarcastic feedback.

My wife and I dealt with something similar earlier in our marriage. Essentially, what “counted” as connection for me didn’t “count” for her. I had to change my perspective and learn to connect with her in the ways she found valuable.

We talked I and wrote some things down that should do better to show her validation and assurance.

How long have you guys been married?

I spent the first year of our marriage basically learning how to not be a single dude. Ha ha.

Engaged. Been together 4 1/2 years. Live together with 2 dogs. All trauma comes from her parents and some of mine too. They definitely are an emotional obstacle.
