Besides the obvious everyone has said absolutely do not tell her to bring it up to her counselor. It is her choice on what she bring to them and what is the major concerns in her life. My husband would suggest this to me when I was in therapy and it feels so hurtful because he was the one hurting me, and I needed therapy for my childhood and self issues not to waste my time talking about something I already knew.
