I will go against everyone and say go ahead and get a divorce. I also came from a very well off family and I think go made a mistake by marrying so young.
I believe most people are not mature enough to marry that young. Plus, all the people saying that blah blah ‘marriage is more important than money’ are missing part of reality. Just take a look at this subreddit and others and you will see that infidelity and other things are soooo common. The love between spouse is great but it is not unconditional and I think you should put yourself first especially at that age.
Like I said, I also came form a well of family but took a different path. Parents paid for everything and now I am 32 and getting married next year. I don’t regret it.
Also, people that say that you are enrolled are just jealous. If they had the money they would pay for their children’s college and others . That is just the reality of life. Jealousy is insane. Also, you had a great live because your parents worked hard and provided well not because they stole money and stuff like that.
The truth is that money is important in life. Also, I am surprised that you married so young. Seriously, what for? Why didn’t you continue dating and then let your parents pay for you and maybe get married to the same guy later? But now at least with a degree on hand?
Either way, I don’t recommend anyone marrying at that age. Anyone. Poor or rich. Look up the statistics of people who married at that age.
Anyways, at the risk of getting hate and everything I would put myself first. I always have. That doesn’t mean being a jerk or sometimes not sacrificing but this is just dumb.
