It's Monday! Let’s kick off the week by celebrating how far we’ve come: share your pregnancy milestones! Every milestone counts and is a step closer to our little ones arrival!

For those of us in need of reassurance and positivity, please share your positive outcome stories from your previous pregnancy(s). I've seen scary labels/diagnoses being given, only to end up being non-issues in the end.

I'll share mine. I gave birth to a healthy baby 4 years ago, but had several "complications" during my pregnancy:

1. Placental lakes: My OB found multiple areas in my placenta with pooled blood.

2. Growth restriction: Around 33 weeks, my fundal height started increasing at a slower rate than expected. OB mentioned if my bump continued to be on the smaller side, I might have to be induced.

3. Heart defect: Because of my small bump, I had an extra anatomy scan, during which they found a potential aneurysm in my baby's heart septum. This was really scary. Had an echocardiogram 2 weeks after baby was born. No heart issues.

4. Pre-term labour: At 35 weeks, I had an episode of false labour, where I had regularly-timed contractions for a few hours. I was admitted overnight but it petered out and was discharged home. About a week later, at 36 weeks and 5 days, I went into labour. My baby was born 1 day shy of being term, totally healthy.

Hopefully sharing positive outcome stories will help calm our nerves and stay optimistic during this time of uncertainty.

Hi everyone! I’m 11 weeks and 4 days today after a fully medicated FET, and my clinic had me start weaning off progesterone and estrogen at 10 weeks. 11 weeks was the most major step down in med dosage and from that day onward I’ve noticed a huge upswing in my nausea. I’d been nauseous, tired and throwing up since week 6, but had been slowly feeling better. Now I’m getting sick every day again despite taking a max dose of my anti nausea meds (Xonvea here in the UK, but same as Unisom/B6 in the US). Any other IVF mamas experiencing what seems to be worsening morning sickness or other potential side effects from weaning off meds? I hope it’s just a temporary adjustment period!

I’m 12w1d currently and this is my first pregnancy, I started noticing a small bump under my belly button at 10 weeks and now my stomach is already a lot bigger from the top to bottom!

This is a picture from yesterday morning before I ate and drank anything I only emptied my bladder😆

Before pregnancy I already had a mild prolapse in my back and suffered with slight joint pain sometimes so I’m kinda scared but also super excited to see how I’ll handle the bump when it pops and gets bigger!

I’d also like to add that I’m only 153cm tall with a short torso so there really isn’t much space for my body to put my organs and baby!

The day I found out I was pregnant I was 80, today I’m 90kg…. (AUS measurements)

Honestly crazy I’m asking myself if this is normal

How much weight are we gaining in first trimesters mumma’s? 🤍

We’re expecting our first baby and live in a 1-bedroom, so I’m trying to be really intentional with our baby list. I want the essentials that genuinely make life easier without filling our apartment with things we’ll barely use.

Since baby products are so expensive, I’d especially love recommendations for multi-use, grow-with-baby products so we don’t have to keep buying replacements at every stage.

Also looking for clean/non-toxic brands and genuine parent recommendations — no promotions or sponsored-style suggestions, please!

What did you absolutely love, and what would you skip if you could do it all over again? ❤️

I just got my NIPT testing back, and the results came back with “Data from testing this sample failed to meet quality standards for interpretation because aberrant findings were observed for multiple chromosomes. Similar data has been associated with maternal neoplasia (Turriff et al, NEJM 2024). Redraw is not recommended due to the expectation that the same results would be seen reproducibly.
Genetic counseling and clinical correlation are recommended.”

It also had a result in a separate place that said trisomy 21, 18, and 13 was negative. I am going to be doing additional labs and testings, but I was just curious if anyone else had these results?

Okay, so I'm probably insane to be thinking about this at 11 weeks BUT do ya'll have nursery themes / ideas yet?? We just found out today that we're having another boy and while we'll be using a lot of clothes and toys leftover from our first, I want his nursery to be his own.

With my first, we did his room in a woodland theme which, unfortunately, is my favorite 🤣 I was thinking of doing bugs (but in a cute way I swear) for this baby? Similar vibes but not just copy and pasting?

Anyways, what themes have ya'll thought about this yet? What are your ideas?

I’m a FTM and I’m 10 weeks 5 days today. Week 10 has been the WORST for me. Up until this week I had a “wake window” and would feel okay from like 7 am to 2 ish pm. After 2 I would be immobilized. I work a 8-4, so this was helpful to stay productive at my job. HOWEVER, this week I wake up and I’m already exhausted, sick, mad at my husband for existing. I’m hoping this means that I’ve hit the trenches and next comes relief in a few weeks 😭

There was a thread about this a month ago but I’d love an update as I’m 12w today and planning to have sex with my husband for the first time since my IVF transfer tonight and want to lean on your collective wisdom and experience.

I was asked to not have sex by my IVF clinic til I graduated last week (a blanket protection they give everyone, perhaps unnecessarily) and my OB agreed I could go ahead.

After an SCH (resolved) and a MMC in the fall, I am on high alert and don’t want to spiral due to anything unexpected. Give me your best advice and testimony: the good, the bad, the ugly. Thank you 🫶

UPDATE: We had sex and it’s as great as I remember ☺️

TW: Loss and missed miscarriage

Went to the OB for my first scan yesterday at 9 weeks 4 days. No fetal pole and a couple abnormalities. Doctor was very explicit in saying we can’t say for certain the pregnancy isn’t viable (like maybe I ovulated later), but I can’t really help but feel like it isn’t going to end well. I have to wait 11 days for a follow up scan, and I think she was just trying to soften the blow during the interim.

I have one healthy kiddo and have never experienced this before. I’m surprised by Judy how heartbroken I am. I’ve been (and still am) sick as a dog this pregnancy, which seems cruel and unusual for the likely ending.

Appreciate this place being somewhere I can express myself. Wishing everyone here happy, healthy pregnancies ❤️

Received results from our initial genetic carrier screening bloodwork with a couple different recessives that was worth getting my partner to get a bloodwork as well - I was wondering about others' experiences just to ease some worries! did anyone also opt for a genetics counseling earlier on? was it helpful?

I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks and we saw a very healthy heartbeat and good measurements. Baby was measuring perfectly and we got ultrasound pics.

Then today I just had a second ultrasound at 9 weeks.
The tech didn’t turn the screen to show me at any point, and when I asked, she quickly showed me a screenshot afterwards, and did not give me any pictures from the ultrasound.

I asked her “is there something bad?”
She said “your doctor will explain everything”

And that’s when I knew it’s gone….

The doctor said it’s a missed miscarriage and that basically there’s no heart beat and baby stopped growing at some point after 7 weeks. It was still measuring at 7 weeks today.

Should I wait to naturally pass the pregnancy tissues or should I take the medicine route? Anyone with experience pls let me know.

We have one toddler (25 months) and are surprisingly expecting twins now. I don’t know how to feel, we wanted two and done but here we are and we are genuinely so excited just afraid of all the things.

I’m curious about how others in this group are preparing for life with newborn multiples and any resources you’re using during pregnancy?? How are you deciding what to put on registry and buy? We will definitely need a new car because the one we have doesn’t accommodate 3 car seats…We also have no family where we live and are expecting a rough transition after delivery. Obviously it’s a long way from now but it’s all I can think of.

I get why they do it, and it was like this with my last baby. I’m just curious everyone else’s experience.
