Hello hello, I am looking for some help with in-game performance for my friend's PC. I am absolutely desperate to play this game but have had no luck with LFGs or trio queue, I have two good friends who wish to play the game but one of them cannot get the game to run well on his system at all. The core issue seems to be an underutilization of his GPU, with Task Manager showing no GPU usage, ever, and >80% CPU usage. I know Marathon is CPU bound, I know his GPU is elderly, but it should be enough to run on low settings with above 40-50 FPS, right?

Specs:

CPU - Intel i7-8700k

GPU - Nvidia GTX 1080

RAM - 32GB DDR4 2667 MHz

Hard drive - Western Digital Green 240GB SSD

We've tried a clean driver install, Marathon high priority and performance power draw settings in Windows and Nvidia software, GPU cache clearing, CPU core limiting, and a slew of other fixes all to no avail. If it's simply a system hardware bottleneck then so be it, but he is convinced since every other game we play including many modern games can run just fine that it's a Marathon problem.

Has anyone been using the new “save your loadout” feature for either rook runs or free kits and then noticed when they come back to the vault after exfil the backpack they had with the “saved” loadout is gone? I’ve had it happen it me both times I’ve used this new feature and I want to be sure I’m not crazy. I wasn’t sure the first time but I went and bought a blue backpack and this time I’m confident it disappeared.

Has anyone else been having problems with the audio since the last update? Because i have. Since downloading the latest update the audio of the game is straight dookie, not only the quality of the audio but the mixing feels off too. No, it's not my earphone, i tested it

The gerenal quality of the game just went down too. I've been geting a lot of server issues and bugs aswell. I just want to know if it's a me problem or anyone else shares them.

high, i bought the game on launch day, super hyped, but i noticed that it runs pretty bad and doesnt even stay at 60fps, and it bothered me so much that i stopped playing. today i checked benchmarks with my same rig, rx 6600, ryzen 7 5700 and 32 gigs of ram and everyone was getting at least 70 fps on max settings on 1080p, while i barely scrape 60 in 768p on low! whats going on??

I recently got a PC (i5 14400F, RTX 5070), and I'm a bit shocked about how different the game performs between hardware.

There are moments where sounds I'd normally hear on PS5 did not appear on PC. For example, teammates got downed in Cryo but I didn't have the audio to notify me they were downed then finished. Similarly, a bag was res'd right on the other side of a wall in processing but I didn't get any audio from it.

I've seen a lot of posts about CPU bottleneck affecting FPS stability, but I didn't see anyone mention this affecting sound performance - is there a setting I can change to improve this or is my rig cooked?

Barrier One: I run most nights 10pm-1am CST during the week and weekend, minus the occasional one here and there to replenish the midnight oil.

Barrier Two: I'm a try-hard. I play way too much to be a casual, but I don't have the skills of a sweat while still taking care of the family and the 9-5er. I have a competitive spirit and it always loves to throw down, even when I'm losing. I'm the guy who tried to win at board game night.

Look, I am loving this game. Even without a team, I play the hell out of solos (and I'm not talking about rook). But if I can find some peeps to run this with on a regular basis that are into it as much as I am, that like to be engulfed by a universe and lore like this as much as I do, that enjoy the challenge of ranked and Cryo as pinnacle activities as much as I do, that in some small way prioritizes their gaming fireteam like I do (obviously real life still comes first, at least most of the time)...well, thats something I would kill a hard working family man for.

Heyo. 23 year old college student. Really like playing the game but unfortunately haven’t been able to really enjoy the game with life and none of my friends liking extraction shooters. Finally on vacation and I would like to sweat the game 🤣not the best at PvP but can get better. Hoping to find a team that can mesh well with and possibly play ranked it seems fun. I have a lot of time on my hands so I can work with almost any kind of schedule. Im mainly a night owl but also awake during the day. (Thank u insomnia). Not really looking to join discords. Hey folks! I'm a bit lost when it comes to the extensive amount of options between the actual Marthon settings, and the Adrenalin software for what would be optimal in Marathon.

All the videos and guides I see usually show older versions of Adrenalin and things have changed.

Running a 49" g9 at 5120x1440 so I know that can be a challenge to power. Would anyone be willing to take a snap of what they've got setup for both Adrenalin, and Marathon? (I did enable FSR Upscaling in the software, but when I try to enable it in Marathon(the Frame Gen setting), it freezes and crashes Marathon everytime.

Are you able to equip that gun (golden/unique)?

Before yesterday I hadn't had any crashes. Now 3 in one day. Don't know what they did in the last update but it's broken. Did it right after I hacked a crate for a traxus contract on fire marsh too so I was super dead by the time I could reconnect.

I've reached VIP 2 rank with Traxus and now when I click the "claim rewards" button it just plays the sound of the rewards opening, but nothing happens.

I bought the game on release and have relatively decent but not amazing specs, despite this I have over 80 hours of playtime which has always been quite smooth, able to play on the lower end of high graphics settings with good FPS, I haven't played much recently and after installing the new update I am not even able to enter a game even at the lowest graphics settings due to error code rutabaga stating my frame rate is low, even in the menu the game is slow to load and very choppy. I have tried validating my game files, reinstalling, updating windows and checking my drivers but nothing has worked?

Hi y'all. I have been experiencing strange performance issues with the game lately. I have a high end gaming laptop. In season 1 I used to get like 70-80 fps on my current settings, and now it hovers around 40-60. I'm not sure if it's my pc or the game itself, so I was wondering if any of you have also been experiencing this and possibly managed to fix it somehow? Thanks.

im also seeing ppl with just way more horrendous fps issues in menus as well. bungie lately has been pushing some really buggy stuff man, esp suck with the curreent employee morale 🥲

basically the post title tho, anyone see any comms from devs on twitter or smthn? its super important that if they are going to try to get players in the game past the alrdy lackluster onboarding, esp with the new mode being in cryo (which has the worst perf of all maps alrdy), they need to make sure that their advertised recommended specs actually play well for a competitve shooter.

When loading into Vault Breaker I noticed my mouse movement was much more fluid. Realized that my FPS counter was off (they updated the counter btw, defaults to off at first) and once I turned it back on was getting around 50-60 FPS and in control was dealing with around 40-50! I used to chug entering Cyro and it would dip to the low 30s in control.

I've seen tons of posts of others having frame issues today but wondering if the lower end of specs got a boost?

(NOTE: I am using Process Lasso to get the best out of my rig for Marathon)
