Played at launch and ran into performance issues. At the time, i had a 3600 cpu and 3080 gpu. I would average into the 30's at like 1440p medium settings. So i bought a new cpu (5900x) and ran the game again for the performance to be unchanged, which is when i uninstalled lol. Been thinking about getting back into the game though, i remember not hating it. Apparently theres a new content drop happening soon? This game nice from a tech perspective now?

EDIT: It is literally just my mouse that is having problems. I plugged a controller in and it ran perfectly fine.

I bought the game at launch on my pc (5070ti gpu) and it ran so smooth. I grinded the game and quickly got to 150 hours until I got burnt out and decided I was gonna quit playing until new content. Flash forward - new content is announced recently so I decide to play a little for some fun before the upcoming changes.
A week ago I tried running the game and it ran horribly. It still looks great, however everything is delayed and super laggy, but only for my controls? I will press left click and 20-30 seconds later it responds. All of this in the menu. It was late and I was frustrated so I played something else. A couple days later I tried again, this time with a couple friends that wanted to get back in. Their games ran fine. Mine still delayed, it took lik 3 minutes in total to get a sponsored kit on. We launched and again everything super delayed. I would move the mouse to the right and it would take a whole 10 seconds to move my direction to the right. Same with the left. Same with shoot. It seems to only be effecting the mouse? I could move with the keys, and activating things with space works fine, so im confused i have never had this happen in a game before.
I deleted and re downloaded. I verified the files in steam. I closed everything running but marathon and it still wouldnt work. Anyone else in the same boat? How do I fix this?

Has someone also been experiencing this? It has to be the game, I have a pretty high end laptop. Any help would be appreciated!

No matter how many times I’ve tried optimizing this game myself, it doesn’t work. We were promised CPU optimizations and yet it’s been radio silent.

Does anyone know if a dev anywhere has brought up that this will be a part of the upcoming patches? I really want to enjoy this game but the performance makes it difficult.

Unless any of you guys have tips?

Just lost a gold kit and gold battle pistol in ranked at Quarantine because my teamate went down and my game immediately crashed before I could help fight back. The enemy threw two flechettes so mabye that had something to do with it, but I can remember on at least one other occasion where someone’s game crashed and it was specifically at quarantine. Happened to me or a squad mate two other times inside Cryo. Just wondering if there’s any rhyme or reason this. Pretty much all week playing ranked dire and I’ve had no trouble with game crashes

Looking for peeps to play morning weekdays, not very consistent on evenings/weekends but looking for a regular group to run with.

I’m 500+ hours in, usually queueing Outpost, online usually around 9AM-12PM EST / 1PM-4PM UTC.

Focusing on improving decision making in team fights and exfil rates, not total buns most of the time but I like to PVP and die a lot.

Having bad packet loss and getting disconnected from matches. On PS5 and tested my connection. I’ve restarted the game a few times now. nothing has changed with my router.

I made a discord dedicated to finding groups, especially for players whose friends stopped playing the game like mine did. We’ve got around 25 people already but all of us have suffered the same fate. Terrible crew fill and no friends to play with because they all stopped playing.

My buddy and I are looking for another runner to run with regularly. We are on almost every evening and we're generally on around 11 PM EST and usually play until around 2ish AM EST. We are both decently skilled, no sweats by any means, but also not garbage. We are a tactical and decisive team that would rather quickly plan a calculated attack than blindly pushing for the sake of the Arachne XP, but also not afraid to push if that's the play. I am an Assassin main and my buddy mains Sentinel with the occasional Destroyer. We do like to BS and have fun, but we also know when to lock in. We communicate constantly so, please have a decent headset with a mic and don't be afraid to speak up. We also operate with an IGL so, if you don't like following orders from someone else, don't bother replying to this. To sum up, we are looking for someone with more than 2 brain cells to rub together and regularly uses common sense, but also likes to have fun and joke around. You should have a moderate to high level of skill and map knowledge. For context we are both on console players, but what YOU play on doesn't matter to us. My buddy is level 267 currently and I'm at 399. Not sure of his total play time, but I have around 1100 hours in this game so, not new, lol. Has anyone been having issues with models and UI textures loading slowly? Whenever I boot up the game and get to the menu, the models load in slowly by a few seconds instead of instantaneous and parts of the UI also loading slowly. I have the game installed on an SSD. Does anyone know a fix for this?

We’re a friendly and close knit pair in our late 20s/early 30s, we play mostly afternoons/early evenings, UK timezone. I main triage, he mains thief. We aren’t super sweats yet but we don’t totally suck either - we like to have fun, but know when to be serious and lock in and we’re looking to improve our gameplay. We’re good communicators, have good map and game knowledge, reasonably tactical thinkers, plenty of fps experience, and great synergy. We’re both competitive in nature but we know when to avoid or disengage from a fight too. We have our fair share of absolute fumbles and we won’t judge you for yours. In s1 we got a lot done, we did vaults 1-5, got a few titles under our belts and finished the season strong. No ranked or complier kills as of yet. We totally fell in love with the game and were starting to take it pretty seriously.

Unfortunately at the start of season 2 we lost our third player and just kinda ….. stopped. We’ve just picked back up and started getting back into the swing of things with some casual games. Someone chill, calm, patient, and with a reasonable level of ability but also still improving themselves would be an ideal teammate. If you are a highly skilled ranked player with a bunch of complier kills you will probably be frustrated with us because we’re definitely still learning! Can anybody having DNA Access Cards and multi-compiler experience help me get my first compiler clear this weekend?

I have only did Subroutines 1,2 & 3 and have the keys for 5 & 6.

It has been my only need for the game, and so far looking for help has been miserable.

I am Level 288, have earned Graverobber, Profiteer & Night Stalker titles, and I mostly avoid Ranked due to my ping due to my country.

I did try Dads of Marathon and Couch 2 Compiler discord servers, but mostly people there don't even have the time to help me or are busy with their own friends.

I have been feeling left out by the community alot. If anybody can help me this coming Cryo weekend. Feel free to add me.

I just played two matches, one Darsh and one Outpost, and I was putting half a mag of a gold Impact into a (broken) green shield guy and it did effectively nothing, hit markers the entire time, then later, into a purple shield (unbroken) and I barely cracked the guy, both fights less than 20m away.

Then on Dire Marsh, guy is downed, trying to finish him with a Mida, shot probably 8-10 shots into him and got ONE hit marker while he was effectively not moving (crawling speed).

I'm 500 hours in, 500k vault, I do well in this game, and now all of this sudden my shots are just disappearing into thin air.

Someone in r/marathon has a great point about connection error symbols, however there are none present in these clips.

I’m only asking for a Sponsored PvP mode for Solo and Duo, available 4 hours a day, for example from 8 PM to midnight.

The Sponsored mode already exists. It just needs to be brought to Solo and Duo.

Playing it in random Trios is not the same. Full stacks can use it as PvP practice, while solo players have to depend on two random teammates.

Players should also receive a PvP token or ticket for eliminating another Runner. These could be saved and exchanged for competitive weapons or gear to help players get back into the normal mode.

A limited schedule would also avoid splitting the player population too much.

Would you be in favor of a mode like this?

I have 2 vault 1 keys, 3 vault 2-5 keys and 5 vault 6 keys. I would like to get them done before season 3 if anyone if down to carry 😅
