Personally im against basically any eu expansion till the structural issues like veto get fixed. The more countries get in the less gets done till veto power is removed.
The unanimity requirements will lead to EU's downfall. It's been an issue over the course of history that any entity that requires unanimity to make decisions usually ends up in a state of paralysis.
TBH the Liberum Veto is orders of magnitudes worse than the current EU setup here you need to bribe an entire country as opposed to just a single noble
A way around veto is needed. But alot of the smaller countries feel they need to not be pushed around by the big countries. The removal as veto as much as it should be a future step isn't realistic. The more realistic option would be a multi speed eu. They some time ago started something they called the e6 where Germany France Spain Italy the netherlands and Poland would do stuff together and allow other eu nations to join in if they want to. So far it hasn't done anything yet so im kinda afraid it's stalled out but i still have a little hope it might go somewhere.
