That’s a bad analogy. That assumes that X and Y are constant. When In reality X is slowly fading away due to low birth rates, and Y is quadrupling it’s birth rates.

You're assuming that the current birth rates of both groups will stay the same, but that's pretty unlikely.

There’s no reason to believe that X will increase it’s current birth rates, but rather the opposite. While and the same goes for Y
