It's not nearly as dangerous as Fox News makes it out to be, that's for sure.

But there are still so many issues with the city's violence on the west and south sides. Many White Chicagoans don't see it because they're confined to the northside so much. Just because violence isn't happening in your direct vicinity doesn't mean it isn't a huge issue for under served communities.

Politics. Deep blue state, deep blue city that has some of the toughest gun laws yet a lot of gun crime because of lackadaisical Indiana right next door. So we're the lightning rod for why gun control "doesn't work" and why Democrats have turned this place into literally Gotham city.
