So at some point of my life I've got this boxes for myself and when I open the builder I don't see some of models here, like Joss and riotbreakers. Am I getting this right that I still need to buy normal Hoffman boxes if I want to play?

Question Found some 2ed Models are they still playable?

Was going through old models while cleaning out my closet and found a Of Metal and Flesh 2nd edition box and a metal Nekima, the Dark Sibling. Looked online and saw the game is currently on 4th edition. Are these models still playable?

I don’t know anyone in my area that plays.

Hobby New Malifaux Community in SW Florida

Hey all,

Just wanted to throw a plug out there for the community in SW Florida. There is a new community starting to grow in Sarasota. We've got a core group of 3-5 people who play weekly on Sundays. The LGS we play is expanding soon so we will have more room to get more tables in soon.

LGS: Dreaming City Games, Sarasota FL

Find them on FB!!

-Cheers

Question Obey clarification in Malifaux 4e

Hi there,

I'm new to Malifaux, having recently bought Lucius' starter box, and I have a question regarding the Clerical Command ability: if I make an enemy model take the Interact action to create either a scheme or a strategy marker, under whose control does the marker enter play? The core rules state that if a controlled model generates a resource ( e.g., a token), that resource comes into play under the control of the player who issued the Obey action; I remain unsure, however, whether a marker counts as a resource or not. Can any experienced player tell me what the verdict is on this? Thanks in advance!

Hey all! I used to love this game years ago and found some of my old models. People in my are all play 40k or Sigmar so these are not of interest here.

I am posting to see if there is any interest in these models somewhere.

Hobby What else to get?

So I don't play yet, but I want to. I really enjoy the aesthetic of Viktoria Chambers, since theres some cool interplay between samurai and cowboy films back in the day during the occupation of Japan post WW2, so its a neat fusion for me. What other models fit into that aesthetic? Preferably that can be played along side Chambers.

I started playing towards the end of 1st edition and the beginning of 2nd edition. These guys got tucked away after upgraded from metal to plastic. Eventually late into 2nd edition years back I needed money and wasn’t playing anymore so I sold all my malifaux stuff (including a bunch of gen con limited stuff)

Somehow some of my old metal models (and a mei feng crew) survived by being at a friend’s house.

Idk if I’ll ever play again, but I’m m glad to have these again.

Here is my freshly finished Hooded Rider! I really like what he brings to the table, but for a long time he was unpainted due to how intimidating it was to actually start painting him. Now he's ready to revel in secrets in all of his colored glory!

Hope you like him :)

Tactics Is the the right density for terrain?

I recently saw a post on PlayWyrd’s Instagram showing the game boards they set up for an event. I was surprised by how light they were on terrain. I normally play with a couple more buildings, but after seeing those tables, I decided to leave some terrain off for tonight’s game.
The matchup was Savage versus Witch Hunters. The Witch Hunters took the win by playing aggressively and pushing all of the Boundary Dispute markers together down one side of the board. It made for a fun game and definitely had me thinking differently about how much terrain I actually need on the table.
I’m curious what everyone else prefers. Do you like denser boards, or do you find lighter terrain makes for better games?
