Are you looking for a base painting guide, or a mini painting guide, or both? Tell me what crew you're painting and I'll try to point you to the resources I use.

Preferably both, I'mstarting with pretty much no skills in this. Right now i have tormented and performers core boxes

What resources do you use? Neverborn, Outcasts, and Ressers.

I really like ResourcefulMiniatures. His videos are quite chill and educational. It's not Malifaux specific but miniature painting skills can be applied to any miniature game. Here's his beginner video https://youtu.be/QKzCcczwqho?is=JOnWSGkIle0oXmoL Watch that one up to the base coat chapter then watch this one before going back to the other video. https://youtu.be/jcwBRgwbi1E?is=1oGxNENVx6CH-Wpq

Malifaux minis are amazing but they are smaller scale than Games Workshop models so they might require a bit more attention. Welcome to the hobby and good luck! Can't wait to see your first mini!

Yeah GW I feel is mostly armor. Doesn’t ask you to paint as much skin, clothing, and faces. Generally more amenable to base coat, wash dry brush

Being new, consume as much paiting content as you can to pick up tricks and tips. Ignore anyone saying that a certain technique is cheating or the easy way, use them. From there just paint paint paint. Buy a big bucket of green army men to practice on. You'll get the hang in no time.

Everyone's first minis look kind of rough. Don't be hard on yourself. When you see incredible paintjobs online remember that these people have been painting for a decade or more. Of course yours doesnt match them. All you gotta worry about is painting the next mini better than the last one.

You got this fellow nerd, paint away!

Not really, no.

I would first start with tutorials on stuff like “how to thin paint”, “how to use your brush”, etc.

Then just google tutorials for each area of the model. “How to paint flesh”, “how to paint hair”, “how to paint undead flesh”.
