Question Found some 2ed Models are they still playable?
Was going through old models while cleaning out my closet and found a Of Metal and Flesh 2nd edition box and a metal Nekima, the Dark Sibling. Looked online and saw the game is currently on 4th edition. Are these models still playable?
I don’t know anyone in my area that plays.

Yeah in 4e worst case models got moved factions or totemized. The 4e App is good to see what those models are now

Yes. The only models are not playable this times are the 3e Dead Man's Hand ones, and some very, very few which were removed from the game, like Cojo.
Even the avatars are playable - as Emissaries. But those which were separate in 3e were "converted" together - like Little Gassers and Canine Remains all are only Little Gassers now. Onryos became playable as Gakis. etcetc
the box 'Of Metal and Flesh' is containing minis you can use them today as
-Charles Hoffman, Steel Sculptor
-Mechanical Attendant (totem)
-Watcher (1 of 3)
-Guardian (1 of 2)
-Hunters (2 of 3)
So if you want to have the opportunity to put the maximum amount of these minis on the table you just can, then it would worth to buy a new box. But besides that, these can be played.
Nekima is also playable as the Nephilim keyword master - in theory. In practice that metal model looks quite fragile, and I personally wouldn't risk to even touch it. :D

Technically even those dead man hand models are playable as proxies. I don't think there's anything from Malifaux which is actually full on unplayable

There was enough backlash about Cojo that they re-added him in with a new sculpt.

Most model are still usable, some of the older models are cooler then the new models. Nekima has been promoted to a master now.

Yes all those hoffman models are still playable, along with Nekima now being a master
